A tiny tiny restaurant but full of heart. Excellent fish. Oysters fabulous you can have them naked or dressed. Many varieties of oysters to try. We were there the night after the iconic Irish rugby win of the All Blacks so their choice on menu was a bit limited but we had the half pint of prawns - delice and the crab toast - fresh fresh crab. Definitely a place to go back.

Yes its cramped and small seating - you know that when you open the door and can see it all within 10 yards of you - if you dont like it turn around! Quirky but fantastic tasting sea food - we ate here twice - Clam Chowder the first time which was thinner than the norm but had a lovely taste to it. The 2nd visit we had a Jamaican Stew which was loaded with Mussels and Prawns and spiced beautifully plus a Crab Toast which was unusual and tasty. The electric kept tripping while we were there so my wife had to keep moving so they could get to the fuse box - was it a problem - not really - we werent in a 5* restaurant and while its not the cheapest place around, the quality (if in stock) is superb and delivered by an enthusiastic team

I agree with previous writer that Klaw is a little too small to be called a restaurant and to be considered one of Dublin’s top restaurants. This is a charming spot for oysters and appetizers but we didn’t realize we could have ordered mussels with pasta to make a meal until it was too late. They had a lovely young staff that was passionate about their offering and we really enjoyed the vibe in the Temple Bar area just a few blocks from Trinity College. Definitely worth trying the seafood and bloody Mary’s here.

Few people can fit in here. Menu is on the board that you can't see unless you stand in people's way. Very hot as kitchen is literally beside you. Prosecco served in a jar! Tasty food, staff very friendly. Best for couples not looking for a fancy seafood place and don't mind cramped seating. It was enjoyable but could do far better.

We mistakenly went to Klaw in crown alley. Didn’t realise they had another place in temple bar. It’s very cramped and a bit too casual for my liking. Menu is on the board that you can’t see unless you stand back from the table and then get in everyone’s way. We ordered the smoked salmon for starters and Crab on toast and then decided to share Gambas for main with a side. The only side available off the menu were potatoes! everything else was off he menu and that was a Friday evening at 6:30! We ordered the potatoes but they never arrived till the end of the meal after multiple reminders to our unenthusiastic waitress. Smoked salmon was the best I’ve tasted. Crab and gambas were also lovely, gambas quite spicy but a nice kick all the same. Wine was served in small IKEA glass tumblers, I wouldn’t even think it’s a right serving and that’s at 8/9 euro a glass plus didn’t taste great. No spare plates came with our meals so we asked for some and got paper plates. Food from the kitchen is fab the service and basics you expect in a restaurant are just a bit too rough and ready for me. Waitresses lacked experience and felt like there was no mgmt in place. Plus the space is too cramped. I would try out their bigger place in temple bar next time.
