After learning about the Guinness and oyster combination advertised in Ireland, my family wanted to try it, so we did a quick Yelp search for seafood restaurants around Temple Bar and came across Klaw.

We were lucky to snag the last 4-top table in the teeny, tiny restaurant on a Friday night around 7pm. We had actually walked by the storefront the previous day, and didn't even notice the restaurant. If I'm remembering correctly, there are 3 tables for four and then a counter with about 6 stools. We squished in, and started perusing the chalkboard menu on the wall. Everything looked delicious - and so reasonably priced - so we ordered too much (but even so, didn't leave much on our plates!).

Our group ordered:

1. A variety of oysters
2. Crab Toast
3. Grilled Gambas
4. Lobster Roll
5. Crab Roll
6. Kale Salad
7. Crab Mac'n Cheese

Everything came out fresh and delicious. My favorites were the crab toast (light and fresh) and the grilled gambas (the butter/Old Bay sauce was decadent and delicious). The kale salad was light and well dressed and the mac'n cheese had lots of crab. The lobser roll had a bit of yuzu in it, which was interesting, but not my favorite. For beverages, they had beer, wine, and Bloody Mary's. Our total came to around 100 euros for all that seafood - it was a steal!

Service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed! One of our best meals in Ireland - highly recommend!

Yes, the place is very small and for first few minutes the smell is awful (especially when guys start frying something).
But the food is fantastic - crabs, oysters, prawns - everything is absolutely fresh and tasty.
Also, I recommend crab on toast - very nice thing.
Oysters - I liked most those from Gallaway.
We visited the Klaw twice - just could not resist the temptation! Though, I should admit that prices are high for street food.

We almost missed this wonderful place as it's tucked in between two bigger places. The food here was amazing! Very fresh and the wait staff were very helpful in recommending dishes for us to try. The portions were a good size and generously priced. Will definitely pop back before we go home!

Travelled down from Belfast for the day and were looking forward to eating at Klaw, arrived around 8pm and the place was really busy and smelled amazing- a great sign! Unfortunately when we got seated and got round to ordering, half of the menu was off. No crab, no claws, no mac and cheese, etc. We ordered some chowder and gave ourselves time to choose something else to order and opted for the platter, which turned out to be off too. The server was really trying, and explained to us that they hadn't had an order in 3 days- which was appreciated, and given the Bank Holiday is understandable. But overall the experience just wasn't that thrilling. Opted for fish tacos eventually which were fine, again cannot fault the server for working around dietary requirements etc with such a limited menu. Would love to get down again in the future to try what we'd actually gone for, as other diners' food looked really impressive and as I said above, the smell and atmosphere were great.

Saw Klaw on the web, couldn't book so just turned up. Very small and simple however the oysters were excellent and the whole crab even better. We arrived at 5 and by the time we had finished people were queuing to get in. If you visit Dublin, give this delightful place a go, you will not be disappointed
