Description: Since 1999, the iconic ely wine bar has paved the way for engaging, rewarding and fantastic value wines in Dublin. Not only characterised by its extensive list of 100 wines by the glass, 400 by the bottle, it's also loved for its melt-in-the-mouth organic beef, organic pork and "Craggy Island" lamb - sourced through ely's organic family farm in The Burren, Co. Clare.

I was organizing a work dinner for 26 people (clients, partners) and needed a city center location with a private room and that was not too expensive. After a wide search I chose Ely and they did a really great job. We have 4 choices for each course, great wine and the food was fantastic. We started with drinks in a private area downstairs and them had dinner in the upstairs private room. Great service and a fantastic location. Thank you Michelle and Andre.

Conveniently located close to St Stephens Green Park. Quite small, so book in advance. Very good food. Both a filet steak and the vegetarian dish we tried were splendid. And a nice, decently priced, bottle of wine. We will most certainly be back!

Booked a reservation for Ely Wine Bar through OpenTable thinking that would benefit us given it being a Saturday night dinner. However, despite our reservation, we were seated alone in the bar area (separate room/area from dining room, near the restrooms) despite a restaurant that was almost entirely empty and only two tables marked as reserved. We also saw the reservation list and let’s just say there was plenty of space. Upon telling the manager that we did have a reservation, he was very rude, smug, and dismissive.

The meal itself was decent, but nothing that would make me recommend this restaurant given the many other outstanding options in the area.

This is on a side street and easy to miss, but cab drivers or a map will get you there. Wine selection is excellent and the food is wonderful.

This food, low fork to table footprint, is the best that I have ever tasted! The entire menu is as locally sourced as possible & the meat is from a close relations' farm in the Burren/Karst lanscape of the Co. Clare...they may love their music & hurling but their meat is worth boasting about too, This was a recommendation of our BnB & would do all over again and again....Thank you.
