Neighbourhood: South City Centre
Description: Located in the heart of the city center, next door to Dublin's City Hall and serves its guests with a wide variety of mouth-watering Italian cuisine. All of the pizzas at Cafe Topolis are cooked in the traditional wood burning pizza oven. A wood fired pizza oven cooks your pizza better than a normal oven because of the heat it stores in its dense walls.Due to its shape, the oven disperses the heat very evenly which ensure the pizza is perfect when it arrives at your table. If you're going out for lunch, then you can get a great lunch at Cafe Topolis from €8.95.The early bird menu starts at 3pm and offers a great set meal from €14.95.

We didn't make reservation and it was a very busy night (it looked like everyone had their early christmas party)but they managed to fit us in. The staff is lovely! They made us feel comfortable. The pizza was also very good! We took the pizza with prosciutto, fresh tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella. It was ready in a few minutes. It went well with their housewine.

Popped in for lunch. Excellent menu and the food was superb. My friend is veggie and had what she described as the best Risotto ever!
Lovely building and nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and efficient.

Having wandered past this restaurant in the day and spotting the wood fired pizzas we decided to come back for an evening meal, we didn’t make a reservation but managed to get the last table for two at around 7pm, service was brilliant straight to the table with water and drinks and the food was great, bruschetta and soup to start were delicious and we had pizza and spaghetti bolognaise for mains, both were fantastic and great sized portions, although we didn’t think we had waiting long for a mains the waiter brought my husband another glass of wine on the house to apologise for the delay, great service and a delicious meal.

We stopped by on a very busy Friday night and managed to get a table in amongst their almost full reservation list. We had a great meal, the portion sizes are massive so you won’t go away feeling hungry. The service was fantastic and we will definitely be returning (with a reservation this time) on our next visit to Dublin.

Topolis has the feel of a typical family run Italian restaurant - great atmosphere, excellent food, and friendly attentive staff. We arrived before 8pm and managed to get a table but booking is probably advisable for evenings.
The chicken wings were a tasty starter, pizzas had lots of topping and my pasta with beef strips and chillies was excellent. House red was very good and reasonably priced.
If you are in Temple Bar go seek Topolis out.
