Neighbourhood: South City Centre
Description: Located in the heart of the city center, next door to Dublin's City Hall and serves its guests with a wide variety of mouth-watering Italian cuisine. All of the pizzas at Cafe Topolis are cooked in the traditional wood burning pizza oven. A wood fired pizza oven cooks your pizza better than a normal oven because of the heat it stores in its dense walls.Due to its shape, the oven disperses the heat very evenly which ensure the pizza is perfect when it arrives at your table. If you're going out for lunch, then you can get a great lunch at Cafe Topolis from €8.95.The early bird menu starts at 3pm and offers a great set meal from €14.95.

We came across this restaurant on our way to a gig and decided to try it based on the early bird menu they had advertised outside (€14.95 for two courses and tea/coffee). Although it was 7.10pm and it should've finished at 7, the waitress was more than happy to let us order from it-something other restaurants will often have an issue with. We had bruschetta (beautiful) and spicy chicken wings (again, delicious) to start, followed by the chicken and broccoli fettuccine and a pizza rucula (made with salami). Both were beautifully made and came speedily. The fettuccine was so filling that I couldn't eat it all, and unfortunately we had no time for teas or dessert (which could be added for €4). Special mention to our waitress Anna, who was so friendly and a real asset to the restaurant. We would certainly return to Cafe Topolis, if only to try some of the desserts pictured here on Trip Advisor!

We stumbled upon Cafe Topolis while strolling Temple Bar looking for dinner. Cafe Topolis called and we listened! Our choice was based on 3 things: An appealing, reasonably priced menu, an inviting, attractive dining room and a wonderful aroma that hit us when we went in to see the menu. They offer a wide variety of wood-oven fired pizza as well as a varied (traditional) Italian menu. We saw a chicken dish delivered to an adjacent table and knew we had to have THAT dish. Chicken breast stuffed with spinach with a light cream sauce. HEAVEN! Perfdectly cooked, delivered HOT to the table and our server was kind enough to accomodate my request for noodles (linguine) with a white wine, garlic and oil sauce instead of the standard pan-seared potatoes. DOUBLE heaven! Our server was attentive and pleasant, the house wine was very drinkable and all the prices were right. If ever in Dublin again I would return to this restaurant in a heartbeat!!

WE have enjoyed Wood Fired Pizza through out our travels. We were glad to have found this great place! The Mozzarella Caprese was tasty! The Pizza Rustica was wonderful! The House Red wine was very good and went well with both!
It is very close to the Dublin Castle and City Hall.

There were 12 of us including 6 children and we had a great meal. The kids had delicious pizzas. Downstairs is able to accommodate a large group without interfering with other diners.

A lovely cosy restaurant with a nice, informal meal. The set menu special was excellent value for money at €13.50 for two courses. All the starters were tasty and varied. The rest of the party was very impressed with their pizzas, however as I can't eat pizza I was limited on the menu choices and ended up having a caesar salad which, unfortunately, was disappointing. The chicken had to be ordered at €2 extra and it was a tiny salad with no anchovies, little dressing and iceberg rather than romaine lettuce.
