This pub sits on the corner of Sutton St across from the statue of Molly Malone. It is mentioned in Rick Steves.
Inside is quite a collection of rooms and a cafeteria set up which is at first confusing but well worth asking how it works-splendid fare with large selection and generous portions. You need to go to the bar for beer.
We had roast beef with a huge Yorkshire pudding and a splendid Shepherd's pie with fresh sides.
You can eat very well for 12-15Euro
each
There also is a vast selection of made to order sandwiches.
The location is convenient to Grafton street and Trinity.
If you go knowing there is just self service, you will leave having had a great meal and dining experience!

Cafeteria style with interesting specials, a varied menu, and generous sides (included). Comfortable seating available in many areas of the pub and restaurant. Satisfying.
Not a place for the impatient or pampered tourist.

The food here is good and reasonably priced, but what a hassle! It's cafeteria style and the lines get very long. Then, once you have your food and full drink, you have to climb stairs and negotiate through the crowd to go find a table.
We ended up grabbing the first table we saw, which was right near the cashier. Loud, crowded, not fun.
Having read some of the other reviews, we did not order off the menu, which might have been easier, because then the staff presumably would come find you with your food, so that you don't need to carry it to your table yourself.
But, we were hungry, and the prepared specials looked good. They actually were. The food was good and plentiful, with a nice variety of vegetables. We had salmon served over sweet potatoes. Usually fish can be a little dicey in a cafeteria, but this was not overcooked and tasted good.
My recommendation, though, would be to try this place for lunch, not dinner, so you can order a sandwich from the carvery and have it brought to your table.
If you order off the menu for dinner, make sure your whole party agrees to choose from the menu, not the cafeteria line, or else you will be eating in shifts.
Would I go here again? Probably not.

I was looking for an authentic Sunday roast experience and found it at O'Neill's. The carvery is cafeteria style, where you see all of the delicious food presented in front of you and watch as it gets cut up and served for you. The roast beef was delicious, as were the cheesy potatoes. I had two qualms, however - one being that the tiny Coke bottle I was served was overpriced, and the VERY SLOW service at the carvery.
