This hotel is in the most perfect position, right in the centre of everything. It has a very unassuming entrance and can be easy to miss, you then need to go down to reception. This is a lovely area with seating, tea, coffee, water, muffins, snacks. Really nice space for chilling out in. There is an outside terrace too.
There are lifts to all floors, we were on floor 4 at the back of the hotel.
The room was small but immaculate. The bathroom again was small with a shower, sink and toilet, it was very clean and functional. Decor is modern. There is a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe. No iron or ironing board in the room but you can request one if needed.
The staff, from the doormen, chamber maids, reception staff were so friendly and helpful.
Now for the reason it didn’t get a 5 star review......... there is no air conditioning in the room, I appreciate that we visited Dublin when they were in a middle of a heatwave so was hotter than normal, but even so this seams odd to me. The room was ridiculous hot, we did have a fan in the room but in all honesty it wasn’t up to much in terms of keeping the room cool. We kept the window open but that opened up another issue, the noise, the outside noise is loud. We weren’t back at the hotel until the bars shut so can’t comment on the noise earlier on in the evening. The noise started about 4.30am with what sounded like glass recycling trucks collecting the night before’s glass. Then more trucks etc. I also read in the welcome pack that the radiator in the room only works when the room key card is plugged in which I imagine means the room could possibly be cold in the winter.
I would defiantly recommend this hotel to friends and family it was lovely and if I return to Dublin would check the availability before looking else where.

Dear Victoria D,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your stay at the Temple Bar Inn.

We are pleased that you rated our location, personnel and cleanliness so highly.

Unfortunately, we do not have air conditioning in the hotel and can understand how during particularly warm weather this can cause discomfort.

We hope to have this facility in the near future.

Kind Regards,
Naomi

This hotel was right in the middle of temple bar which is full of pubs and a popular tourist destination for partying, so it can be quite noisy outside. Personally we enjoyed partying in the area so we didnt mind the noise, and the interior sliding window panes do help quite a bit with the noise, but since there is no ac in the rooms we kept the window open most of the time and didnt mind the noise. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the room itself was quite nice. The decor of the lobby is really quite something and the location was great for walking to nearby attractions. Besides the heat in the rooms and the noise from the street, this was an excellent hotel.

We stayed here during a trip to Dublin in April and I can honestly say the hotel was beautiful. Quite modern, very clean and they had complimentary snacks, tea, coffee and flavoured water in the lobby. The location is brilliant and only 5 minutes away from lots of key attractions in the heart of Dublin. The only thing is it is advertised there isn't a pool however the gym round the corner offers the use of theirs for people staying at the hotel. You have to where a swim cap which I wasn't crazy about but it all made for a fun experience. We would definitely stay again when we 're visit the city as staff where happy and friendly and the hotel was beautiful.

Really nice hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Stayed for one night in a standard double room which was small but comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring all the sights.

We opted for this hotel for a number of reasons - location, price and good reviews. We felt it was a reasonable price in a city where hotel rooms are expensive. We also wanted to be well located to explore as were travelling with my mum for her birthday and she is 73! Check in was very good. We had rooms looking out the back - so did get some bin men noise in the morning, but we expected some of that due to the location. They offer free tea and coffee and some cakes. They have a tour desk which we did not know - but they helped us print our tickets to the jail. We had breakfast one morning which was excellent and local produce. The room was well furnished, clean, had a good supply of tea and coffee and brown sugar (one of our likes!!) and not everywhere does this. The bed was big and comfy for a city room hotel. The room has a fan and the windows open. Great black out curtains. All the staff were friendly. We would stay again, great location, great value and just what we wanted. Well done!

Room Tip: 407 and 410 facing towards the back (not Temple Bar) quieter
