We were warmly greeted by Elaine and Sophie, and instructed about the flat. They brought bread, milk, eggs, juice, etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable, well maintained and supplied with everything we needed. We called about our challenges with the clothes washer and the next morning a capable woman came to show us how to use it! (It was brand new). Helpful information in notebook about the area. Lovely bakery, butcher, upscale grocer and produce shops are just a few doors down! Safe, quiet, convenient location. We will return!
Warm welcome and faultless communication. High quality apartment at a very reasonable cost. Local shops just seconds from the entrance. On main bus route and only a ten minute walk to the tram. Having safe parking included in the price was really useful. Altogether extremely satisfied and would strongly recommend this great apartment.
We booked an 11 night stay, wanting to find a place that would feel like home..The owner, Elaine was very good and professional from the start of our communications..always responsive with e mails and advice.
The apartment itself is lovely, well laid out and cosy..has a full kitchen with washing machine and we found it very practical as a home from home.
I wouldnt hesitate to reccomend the place or the owner...we look forward to our next stay
Everything that we needed for our stay was in the apartment, beds were so comfortable, washer and dryer all in one was great, bedrooms were a good size, lounge and kitchen small but as we were out all day it was ok, The apartment was close to town, bus stop and the Lewis all in walking distance. wonderful to have someone change the linen once a week .
We were welcomed by Elaine who was friendly and attentive. The appartment was clean, very well equiped and comfortable. The welcome pack of eggs, bacon, milk, tea/coffee etc was very welcome. Two convenient shops (Tesco express and a convenience store) either side of the apartment were well stocked. Bus into and back from Dublin Centre stops almost outside the front door - Beware though, buses only accept cash AND NO NOTES - coins only. The journey was just over 2 euros each way. We couldnt work out how to use the TV though, probably our failing not Elaine, but there is so much to do in Dublin we were in the appt often enough for this to be a problem. The information pack is a little out of date (the 161 Restaurant next door has closed dow) but I'm sure easily fixed.
Visit Powerscourt Gardens and waterfall. Beautiful place, but a car is recommended to travel between both as a cab cost 40E each way and 15E to get from the waterfall to the House - although walking is probably the ideal mode of transport if you are able.
Cant recommend enough.
