My 12-day Giant Irish Tour was amazing! I was able to see the true Ireland..beautiful countryside, back road cruising, mountain climbing, ancient cemetaries, castle ruins, fantastic food and quaint accomondations. Credit goes to our lovely guide Eamonn who shared his love for Ireland and taught us so much about the history and troubles that Ireland has endured. He made everyday special for us all and can't thank him enough for making my trip everything I imagined it would be. Vagabond Tours are exceptional and the small groups are perfect! I am coming back next year for another Vagabond Tour and can't wait to continue my adventure!

we did the 11 day Driftwood tour. Our guide/Driver Brian went out of his way to help everyone on the trip. He advised those with mobility issues what they shouldn't do. He even helped the mobility issue person get their luggage into each stay. He dropped them off at each stop. He was able to tell us history of the areas we were at. The sights were astonishing. The majority of hotels we stayed at were accommodating and pleasant to stay at. We had great recommendations for places to eat and things to do at each stop. It gave us a taste of Ireland and left us wanting more.

We loved everything about our 7 Day Vagabond Magnetic North Tour. Every day was an adventure—unforgettable hikes, fascinating history and stunning scenery. We had a great group on our tour and our driver/guide Dave was certainly an asset to the trip. He was so easy going, a great storyteller and always made us feel safe both on the hikes and in the van along those winding Irish roads. This was our second tour with Vagabond and we look forward to our next adventure with them.

My wife and I did the Driftwood 6 Day Ancient Ireland Tour which is now the 6 Day Southern Ireland Tour. We wanted a small tour that was not too long and not with an overly structured time schedule, yet one that visited interesting sites each day. This tour and company were the answer.
The tour was organized, well run, and coordinated. Andrew, our driver/tour guide was extremely personable, courteous, humorous. and very informative. His knowledge of the area and history of Ireland was excellent. Andrew also went out of his way to accommodate us if the group wanted to do something special. He has a deep love of his country and it showed when he explained the sites and areas that we visited. A very genuine person and great guide.
It was a small group of 11. This tour would only take 15. The small tour group is the only way to go. The group became cohesive and very close by the end of the tour. Much of this was due to Andrew.
The accommodations were excellent as were the restaurants chosen for lunch. Van seats are the size of airline seats and can get uncomfortable at times. This is the only real con that I can think of.
Some of the people had toured with Vagabond/Driftwood at least once before and returned to tour again because it was so well done. We intend to tour again with Vagabond Driftwood.

We completely agree that the intimacy of a small group fosters a close-knit and cohesive experience. We're sorry to hear about the minor discomfort with van seats, and we appreciate your feedback.

This tour group is great, small, and really shows you the culture and greatness of Ireland. Paddy my tour guide was fabulous with our tour group, he gave us history and took the time to help is see all the special places to us.
Paddy was grand making sure we all felt comfortable and welcome. If you can get a tour with Paddy you will have a grand time.
