The 7-day Treasure Island tour was just the right length for us. A really nice mix of everything - countryside, village life, popular tourist spots, comfy out-of-the-norm treasures, pubs, a little shopping, a lot of history, zero politics, not too many castles, and breath-taking scenery, greenery, and flowers everywhere. Loved it all. Our Driftwood guides were excellent and it was fun getting to know our fellow tourists. The small size (15 guests) was perfect to have companionship or alone-time as we preferred. The tour has great pacing so you're never in the coach for too long a time. Highly recommend!

We can't say enough good things about our amazing 11 day tour. Our tour guide Mark was very informative and made the tour a lot of fun. He is very passionate, dedicated and skilled, and his love of Ireland is evident in everything he does. He may even quote poetry or break out in song! He kept us thoroghly entertained. We saw a lot of the major attractions, but were also taken of the beaten path to some less well known hidden gems. We have been on large and small group tours in other countries and can honestly say that this tour went above and beyond our expectations! Thank you Mark D. and Vagabond Tours for a wonderful vacation experience!

A note about our guide Mark Dougherty. Mark is a true adventurer (the first Irishman to cycle round the world) driver, navigator, comedian, lecturer, and oracle (ask me any'ting, If Oi don't the answer, Oi'll make somet'ing up". True to form, he has most answers and researches (when not driving) to get answers. He is an expert on Irish literature and music, and quotes poems, sings songs, and delivers lectures while driving us expertly through the narrow country lanes. He went out of his way to get our group to the place of my ancestors, Schull, and Skibbereen. I even overheard him trying to get info. about my family in a pub in Schull! Talk about full service! The man is awesome!

The 11 day tour of Ireland was fantastic! Our tour guide / bus driver Mark was not only knowledgeable and professional, but also extremely helpful and accommodating. The tour lead us all around the island and showed many of the best tourist locations as well as many hidden gems. The tour guide was so knowledgeable he was able to take us to many of the very busy locations across Ireland before the rush came allowing for us to experience the beauty of Ireland without the crowds. The small group tours allowed for a much more specialized experience and could not recommend a better tour group, and that’s not even including the fact that the company strives to be carbon neutral and offsets all their fuel consumption by planting trees! 10/10

I was expecting to be amazed by Ireland, but with Driftwood, I was completely blown out of my socks! This trip was top notch, full of great accommodations, great history, fantastic opportunities to get off the beaten track, and so much more! I traveled with my 90 year old grandmother and our guide and the staff at Vagabond were so accommodating. They called ahead to make sure we had ground floor rooms and allowed us to bring a lightweight wheelchair on the trip and gave us pointers on the best routes to take with it. What a wonderful experience!
