This was the best vacation either of us have ever taken. We loved all of the activities, the food was terrific and Tim, our guide was easygoing, well-informed and tons of fun. The accommodations were smaller hotels/inns with very nice rooms and great breakfasts. Everything was planned but we had choices during the day too- so it the pace was perfect. Ireland is a beautiful country with a fascinating history and Tim was a great storyteller of the history and legends. Our group was very friendly and got along great. The pacing the trip was perfect for us, with plenty of opportunities to be active or for some down time when you needed it. Thanks Tim & Vagabond!

In one word AMAZING. We did a lot of research looking at all different types of tour sizes, and decided on a small group tour and these guys kept coming to the top of the list based on the ratings and the types of tours available. In short, we WILL use these guys again when we return to Ireland. This was the best tour of our lives and we travel a lot.

The experience was really positive from the very beginning. We had a bunch of questions on trying to decide between a few different tours, and Gillian in their office was invaluable. She helped us pick the perfect tour and then she answered so many crazy questions we had as we got closer to our trip.

I am a Vegan and really wondered how hard it would be to find stuff to eat in Ireland. I actually had planned to just pack a bunch of power bars and figured I could live on them if needed. From the very beginning our first tour guide named Carmel was very organized, talked to a professional chef before our tour to fully understand what Vegans eat and she called each and every place to make sure I had at least one option and most places had multiple options! This included dinner and breakfast both. Just amazing that someone would take that level of care to make sure a person who is a vegan had a great time. It was really cute as some of the smaller places, the chef would come out and meet me and explain what they had planned to ensure it matched with what I normally would eat. Again amazing amount of care and support going into making sure we had a blast – THAHK YOU CARMEL!

All of the tour guides were amazing! We started with Carmel and finished with Mia. Both ladies are amazing, knowledgeable, fun and most importantly they were so nice. We also met Sean and Damien along the way and they were both nice as well. In our 2 weeks in Ireland we took other tours and we could clearly see the level of professionalism of the Vagabond team was well above any other group or company we interacted with. As most people who have been in Ireland will attest, everyone drops swear words and in that accent it really doesn’t sound bad – makes us smile. In the 8 days we were with this team, not once did we hear anyone swear, or even speak negatively about anyone or anything – wow! The other really cool thing is, Carmel and Mia had a bunch of suggestions that saved us money and time. Examples include the Jaunty Carts at Muckcross waterfall vs. house, getting to the Blarney Castle early, packing a lunch for Skelling Michael, etc.

The hotels setup on the Kerry UnCorked tour were amazing! We would stay at any and all of them regardless if they were in a tour or not. Each place was so nice and everyone we came in contact with was amazing and attentive.

As we moved through the country and interacted with different attractions, we could clearly see the reputation that Vagabond has built – each place was very attentive and truly understood we were on a Vagabond tour.

Thank you to Rob and his team of people that clearly appear to be a family vs. a company.

Vagabond/Driftwood tours is amazing! One of the best tours I have ever been on and I've traveled to 34 countries. Damien is a fabulous tour guide. If you're going to Ireland and interested in seeing all the sights (off the beaten track) and experiencing culture / history this tour is the experience for you!! Absolutely incredible. Small groups - 16 people.

We booked a tour with Vagabond's Driftwood 7 day Treasure Island tour. It was difficult to reach individual's by phone during the booking process, but all emails were answered promptly and in great detail by Meagan. We chose this tour because we wanted a small group tour that would visit some of the areas we wanted to see such as the Aran Islands and the Rock of Cashel. Very few tours out there give you these options and for me, they were highlights of the trip. This tour allows a lot of flexibility whenever they can and at one point, even dropped me off at our hotel early so that I could meet family I have in Ireland. Other members of our group chose to golf one morning instead of taking the drive around the Dingle Peninsula. We tended to stay in hotels and B and B's owned by local Irishmen, which was a plus for me. Some of the hotels were outstanding, but I appreciated all of them and being able to support the local communities. The best thing about the tour by far was our guide, Sian. She drove the van on winding streets, pointing out sights and giving us a history of Ireland, all at the same time. She was amazing! At one point, we had a different guide for our tour of DIngle and Connor was also entertaining and informative and even played his accordion for us. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants an overall tour of Ireland. It is a beautiful country and small group tours are definitely the way to go!! I repeatedly was grateful that we opted not to drive when I saw how narrow the roads were. Also, we really got to enjoy the countryside rather than worrying about staying on the left side of the road.
