Vagabond/Driftwood tours is amazing! One of the best tours I have ever been on and I've traveled to 34 countries. Damien is a fabulous tour guide. If you're going to Ireland and interested in seeing all the sights (off the beaten track) and experiencing culture / history this tour is the experience for you!! Absolutely incredible. Small groups - 16 people.

Wow Gena - you are a seasoned traveller and we very much appreciate your review and recommendation. Driftwood Tours do allow the perfect mix of off the beaten track and the highlights! Hope to see you again one day, Rob Rankin, Owner.

We booked a tour with Vagabond's Driftwood 7 day Treasure Island tour. It was difficult to reach individual's by phone during the booking process, but all emails were answered promptly and in great detail by Meagan. We chose this tour because we wanted a small group tour that would visit some of the areas we wanted to see such as the Aran Islands and the Rock of Cashel. Very few tours out there give you these options and for me, they were highlights of the trip. This tour allows a lot of flexibility whenever they can and at one point, even dropped me off at our hotel early so that I could meet family I have in Ireland. Other members of our group chose to golf one morning instead of taking the drive around the Dingle Peninsula. We tended to stay in hotels and B and B's owned by local Irishmen, which was a plus for me. Some of the hotels were outstanding, but I appreciated all of them and being able to support the local communities. The best thing about the tour by far was our guide, Sian. She drove the van on winding streets, pointing out sights and giving us a history of Ireland, all at the same time. She was amazing! At one point, we had a different guide for our tour of DIngle and Connor was also entertaining and informative and even played his accordion for us. I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants an overall tour of Ireland. It is a beautiful country and small group tours are definitely the way to go!! I repeatedly was grateful that we opted not to drive when I saw how narrow the roads were. Also, we really got to enjoy the countryside rather than worrying about staying on the left side of the road.

My family and I just recently returned from Vagabond's 7 day adventure World Tour of Ireland. This was, by far, the best tour we've ever been on. Vagabond's selection of lodging and activities was wonderful. Our guide Mia was superb, providing interesting historical information and a quick wit. She took us on some beautiful "off the beaten path" paths! Our activities. were varied..we hiked the Burren (limestone landscape) and a path along the breath-taking views of the Cliffs of Mother. We kayaked in Dingle Bay; biked in Killarney National Park and climbed the ancient monk-carved stone steps to the top of Skellig Michael. We can't say enough good things about Vagabond and our trip. Our tour exceeded our expectations and we're already talking about going back again sometime!!

I had never been to Ireland and was determined to go. Unfortunately I had no travel companion. Ever the bold one, I booked an 8-day Wild Irish Rover tour with Vagabond Tours after a brief web search. It was the smartest thing I've ever done! Although I was alone, I was never alone because of our exceptional guide and 10 traveling companions from around the world. Our group was very diverse and we all enjoyed getting to know one another through our range of adventures. The tour was fast-paced and covered a lot of ground; I loved it and can't wait to return to Ireland and another Vagabond Tour!

We booked with Vagabond because we wanted a small group, active tour of Ireland, as advertised. Unfortunately, the 8 and 12 day tours were not available, so we booked the 7 Day World of Ireland Tour. Sam, our tour guide was great.

The places we went, for the most part, we not off the beaten path. They were the normal tourist destinations. The accommodations during the tour were hit and miss. Some were good, others were bad.

The tour was not as active as we had hoped. Some of this was due to the composition of our group and their desired activity levels.

Note that the company can be difficult to reach to answer questions.

Overall, we were satisfied with the tour. If you book with Vagabond, we highly recommend our guide, Sam.

Dear Max, Thank you for your review. We appreciate and take all your comments onboard both here on Trip Advisor and from our post tour survey. As our tours are a mix of guests, preferences and abilities getting the balance on hikes can be a challenge, our guides do their best to accommodate everyone. Vagabond Tours does go off the beaten track, the very nature of our small group size and vehicle type allow this, but from delivering tours for 15 years we know that our guests like to tick the iconic Ireland sites off the bucket list too. Sam is indeed a super guide. Our office is based in Ireland so there may be a delay in replying but as far as I know all emails were replied to by the next working day. Thank you for joining us. Kind regards, Rob Rankin, Owner
