Owner description: A very warm welcome to one of Ireland's finest golf links. We have history and wonderful golfing tradition here - but better than that, we have a fabulous golfing challenge over a magnificent links course. And when the golf is done, our clubhouse offers the ideal place for enjoyable relaxation. Our visitors are always welcomed by our friendly staff and we look forward to your visit to our Club. Located on Bull Island, which also houses a bird sanctuary and nature reserves, this golf course is one of the oldest in Ireland, dating back to 1885.

First of all, I liked the Royal Dublin Golf Course a lot. It was in great shape and the staff was exceptional. My caddie (15-year-old Max) was the BEST caddie I had all week as I played 8 other courses over 9 days in the south of Ireland. The starter was very helpful and the bar staff was friendly and fun. So if you like playing classic Irish links courses with a bit of wind on every hole (of course), you'll like Royal Dublin. Don't forget to enjoy some of the photos and a Guinness at the end of the round. And don't forget to ask for Max! He's only going to be there for another couple of years before he plays college golf - perhaps in the States.

We had heard mixed things about the royal dublin links right inside in Dublin bay. But we were enthralled by a lovely old links, which has hosted many championships, and the St. Andrews nature of olde wolrde golf snuggled low on the inland side of low dunes. A lovely clubhouse and welcoming staff and members made for a very comfortable day.

played Royal Dublin in September on weekend away. We really enjoyed the beautiful tranquil setting and great course. Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed a lovely pint of beer in their lovely clubhouse after.

Played 8 Irish courses over 10 days

of the east coast 3 we played - Old Portmarnock, European and this one - I enjoyed this the most.

Amazing setting on an island close to city.

Course great to play on - first 3 are ok - but then it really gets going - tight fairways and tricky links green complexes

back 9 has wider fairways but still very tough - over 7300 off the back
