My boyfriend & I stayed here during our Spring Break, March 16th-19th, 2017. When we arrived to Dublin, it was cold and rainy, but the Tinode House was warm, dry & very cozy! PJ greeted us at the door with a smile. He showed us around the house, the conservatory, the dining room, and our room. Our room was small but extremely comfy. The sheets were freshly cleaned, soft, and we slept great. We slept so great we even missed breakfast one morning! The breakfast was nice. PJ's wife, Maureen, even made these yogurt parfaits for us, which were delicious. PJ has a lovely family. We really enjoyed talking with him every day. He gave us specific directions on how to get around, which helped us a lot. He recommended many great places to grab a bite to eat. He is very humorous, but knows what he's talking about. Backyard was beautiful, shame we never got to spend time there, it was raining pretty much all day, every day. We have been to Ireland a few times now, and will definitely stay here next time we're back in Dublin. We highly recommend the Tinode House to everyone! You will love it.

Room Tip: Beds are very comfy! You'll get a great sleep

Love this inn. PJ was so helpful with information on the area and how to get into town - bus was just outside the door. He also gave us the Leap Frog bus card that we only had to put some money on to get to and from the city. Maureen was a blast. Loved talking to her. Our room was comfortable and clean. There was always fresh water and tea available. There was a beautiful downstairs to just sit and hang out for a spell. Maureen's gardens were beautiful - she was working so hard one evening because of all the leaves that had fallen. She was also so very kind by leaving us some breakfast goodies in a bag in the fridge the morning we were leaving, because our flight was very early. Definitely stay here!

Situated in a main street coming straight from the airport, Tinode House was our choice for our first night in Ireland, and decided to spend our last night there, too. It is a cosy house, very confortable and with a good taste. The host is very friendly, kind and makes you feel at home. It is very worth to talk to him, tell him about your trip and listen to his advice, we think he has been around Ireland many times and knows his country better than anyone. Breakfast was awesome, full Irish breakfast to face a hard tourist's day. And the glazed living-room is confortable and nice, to read and plan the next day. The house is a 30 minute walk from the city centre, with many bus stops in front of the house.
We'll be back to Ireland and we know we'll stay at Tinode House again.

Room Tip: The rooms are quiet and confortable.

This B&B is a great place to stay while visiting Dublin. It is well located with many buses passing the door and a bus stop nearby making access to the city centre easy. Local pubs and restaurants are a short walk away. PJ is a friendly host offering comfortable rooms and a yummy breakfast. This was not our first stay at Tinode House and we hope to visit again.

Our stay at Tinode House did not start well as there was no one at home when we arrived. I rang PJ who told me that I had informed him that I wouldn't be arriving until 7pm. It later turned out that he had got confused between 17:00 and 7pm, admitting that I had told him that we would be there at 5pm. Fortunately we managed to get a cup of tea at the Best Western Hotel just down the road, which turned into dinner and returned later to Tinode House. When we did so PJ spent quite a bit of time complaining about guests who expect him to wait in all of the time for them to arrive. It felt as though we were an inconvenience to him. Our room was fine and very clean. The main problem though was on the last day when we were checking out and I attempted to pay with a credit card only to be told that they don't accept them. I found this very strange considering that PJ had taken my credit card details to secure my booking, telling me that he would only take a payment if I didn't arrive. It also states on the website that they accept credit cards. PJ admitted that he no longer updates his website as he doesn't believe that anyone looks at it and that if people don't turn up he doesn't actually have a facility to take money from their cards and he does it just to ensure that people arrive. I found it all very misleading and frustrating. It was our last day in Ireland and left a very sour taste in our mouths.
