This B & B was highly recommended by friends who have visited Ireland multiple times. And the recommendation was absolutely spot on. P.J. was a great host and very personable fellow who took time to just spend time to talk about family, Ireland, etc. The triple room was perfect for myself, wife and daughter with a lovely private bath. I was able to take advantage of the peaceful back yard/garden that P.J. takes such care of. He was so helpful in explaining the bus running downtown and with the bus stop just a few hundred feet away from the front door it was extremely convenient for our hiking around Dublin.
P.J. was kind enough to even put out some items for breakfast as we were leaving very early for the airport the next morning. He also called the cab service to be there at 6:00 am the next morning.... all around, great stay for our last days in Dublin.
THANK YOU P.J.!!!

Tinode House and its host, P.J. Dunne, were a wonderful first impression of our visit to Dublin. We arrived at this B&B earlier than expected, but P.J. was extremely gracious and offered his lovely sunny conservatory to wait in till our room was ready. We learned later that P.J. does most of the work himself which is difficult because of his back pain. Our room was spacious with very comfortable beds. There were no amenities in the bathroom (lotion, shampoo, etc.) but given the economic situation, it was understandable. (We always travel with our own, anyway.) P.J. has made it very easy to use the buses--the line runs right outside his B&B--super convenient. On the back of his card is printed all the bus numbers which saves any guess work. Breakfast was good and the best part was that he would sit and chat with us. He's a funny personable guy and we learned a lot about his family and Ireland. He made us feel very welcome. He even cared enough to bring me several blankets when I suddenly felt cold and needed to sleep. His recommendation for a good dinner at a neat pub was spot-on.

Tinode House is located just about 15min from the airport and 10 min from city centre by public bus. The bus stop is right next to the house and you reach everything very easily. A rambler bus ticket (13,30 Euro for three days) is highly recommended - it allows you to use Dublin buses within from three days as many times as you need it.
We were happy Tinode House accepted our booking, although we arrived very late in the night (at 11:45 pm). We stood here for three nights.
Our room was very comfortable with enough place for all the luggage, very quiet and had also a very stylish bath room. We felt very welcome in Tinode House, Maureen is very communicative and gave us a lot of recommendations where to go.
Breakfast is also very good, she will cook everything you ask her for. We even had porridge!
Next time in Dublin, we will stay here again for sure!

stayed here for one night. Did not meet Maureen but PJ was wonderful. When I arrived it was freezing cold outside but inside the B&B it was lovley and warm. I was given a single room at the front of the house which was perfect and so warm that I had to turn down the heating. Lovley and quiet and even the sounds from the street did not interrupt my sleep. Had the full irish next morning which was lovley and had a nice chat with PJ. Turned out that he was from the same neck of the woods as myself. Just want to say " WELL DONE FOLKS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK"
