Was there three times. Always a lots of fun and the view is amazing. You should plan one day for it b/c its a big area and lots to see. I was in March and twice times in May there. The flowers are in May beautiful and I liked to sit down and enjoy the view.

Its a great place to be on a frosty December morning. If the sky is clear you can see Snowdonia in Wales with its peaks full of snow. Wrap up well and be prepared weather can change so fast up here.

The Dublin Mountains are very close to Dublin City, thankfully. A bus ride from the city centre will take you very close to the Dublin Mountains, eg the number 15 bus from City Centre will take you very close to Massey’s Estate, a wonderful wood in the Dublin Mountains. We had a lovely gentle stroll around here today, it’s a wood with a gentle stream. An interesting thing we came across in the wood was an ice house (see image) where long ago the locals would store their lamb. The Dublin Mountains are well worth a visit.
