Went here last Sunday and loved it. Was the gorilla Kituba's first birthday so there was a great atmosphere and lots going on :) Great shows and talks from the keepers, we saw the talks from the keepers for Elephants and the Sea Lions. All the animals have a nice space and surroundings. Seem happy and well looked after. So many different animals, takes about 3 hours to go around and see them all. Would recommend.

The animals clearly looked stressed. they would either go round in circles, sway side-to-side or, and this in particular with one of the penguins, pluck out their feathers. All are clear signs of distress.

We spent around 3 hours in the zoo, the entry was 14euros, if you are a student to ensure you take your student card as this will enable you discounted rates on attractions in Dublin. The zoo was lovely with a great variety of animals. The sealion feeding which is held at 2.30 is fantastic. There are cafes and restuarants in the park however you can also take your own picnic as there is plenty off seating around. There is something for everyone here.

a great day out. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The new gorilla enclosure is fascinating and lets you get very close to these magnificent animals. We are going back when the new big cat enclosure is opened !

ok I hate zoos ! but this one is different : you don't feel the animals are sad or neglected at all ! they are having fun and there are a lot of pedagogic things to learn from ! I'll go back. it was fun and interesting. :-)
