We loved staying our 2 nights here.
What was once 2 beautiful Georgian homes is now enjoyed by many a lucky traveller.
This place exudes charm and elegance.
Our room was massive with beautiful artwork, stunning original fireplace and a most comfy bed complete with wooden headboard and matching wardrobe. We had a bath to relax in after our somewhat wet walk through the rainy streets of Dublin.
The shared lounge room also with its original fireplace had large comfortable chairs and was very cosy to curl up in and read the newspapers provided.
You are only a minutes walk from lots of restaurants and pubs so there is always something new to try.
We willing definitely stay here again.

We had to do some research at UCD & this lovely B&B proved ideal. We caught the 39A bus just down the street, which took us direct to the campus in a matter of minutes (stopping in Starbucks for a quick coffee on the run first). The Waterloo House is situated in a very nice, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood not far from the embassies and Grafton Street, etc., that has everything you need within walking distance-- groceries, pharmacy, wine shop, nice restaurants and Searson's pub (don't miss Sunday jazz with saxophonist from the Commitments). The Waterloo House breakfast is legendary but our hectic schedule made it a luxury we only indulged in once--and then very, very good! Staff so very nice. We will definitely stay again when returning in the fall. Simply charming and untacky place to stay in Dublin far 'from the madding crowd.'

Waterloo House was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of a larger hotel.
Our room was warm and comfortable. The bed and pillows were first class.
The place was spotless and the breakfast delicious.
Convenient location within walking distance of town/RDS.
Parking was a bit of a mission but this was due to an inconsiderate parker who refused to move his car.

I was staying at the Waterloo for one night with a colleague. The room was small but pleasant clean and had a shower which I prefer. Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. From a businessman view a great change from my normal corporate hostelry.

I'd go back. Good choice of eatery's at the bottom of the road.

I spend about 100 bed nights in hotels / guest houses each year and the following five things are fierce important to me.

1. Location.
2. Character.
3. Comfort.
4. Parking.
5. Breakfast.

Waterloo House scores top marks in each of the above five.

It's at the heart of Dublins business, sporting and social life. There are excellent hotels within a stones throw to meet clients and conduct meetings. Searsons, The Waterloo, Toner's and Doheny and Nesbitts are four of Ireland's iconic pubs and all are within walking distance and provide great comfort, succour and respite to weary and lonely travellers. Google Maps told me that Roly's Bistro is a 14 minute walk away. I covered it easily in 10. Wonderful meal.

Evelyn Corcoran is a fine Westport lady and is full of warmth, information and personality.

The hotel is a beautiful house overlooking Waterloo Road to the front and a wonderfully secluded conservatory adorns the back. Evelyn tells me to listen to the blinds singing (even in December) and to watch out for a friendly fox that occasionally dancers around the garden.

Dublin, like most cities globally is a nightmare for parking. Waterloo House has ample parking. I arrived late last evening and had no problem parking in front of the hotel.

You'd imagine that most Hotel breakfasts are the same, and unfortunately they are. This is altogether different. Freshly squeezed orange juice; granola; a real Irish fry with tasty thick rashers, succulent sausages and chives in the scrambled eggs.

Room Tip: Take your pick. The bustle and sophistication of Waterloo Road to the front or the quietness of the...
