Eileen is an exemplar hostess and Paul is welcoming and charming as well. The residence has a great location as mentioned. The rooms are well-maintained and very comfortable, and the bathroom is en suite. Breakfast is always a plus, and these owners provide a hearty start to the day.
Portobello strikes a good balance of cozy and updated. If you need wifi, there no need to head out. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Eileen and Paul!

Eileen and Paul were lovely hosts and have a beautiful B&B. Very easy to access from the airport or city center, €3.30 on the 16 bus straight there from the airport or even just a 20 minute walk to the city center. Nice restaurants, cafes, and pubs nearby. Beds were made every day and breakfast was nice with many options and a full Irish breakfast.

Great b&b in a great location. There is a bus stop right outside the b&b which can be taken into the city. Or walking into the city would take just over 10mins
The woman, Aileen was so helpful. When we wanted to know what things we could do in Dublin she always had suggestions and would help us find our way.
Paul was very talkative-maybe too talkative but that's just my own opinion

Great sleep. Would stay here again!!

A very warm welcome from Eileen and Paul for us and our family. Cosy rooms in old Victorian town house. On a busy road but we were in the middle of town. Garage parking round the back. Very polite and chatty hosts making you feel really at home. Everything worked and was new , modern and clean.
Comfy bed , nice shower and good hearty brakefast. Quick free WiFi.
For an evening meal we walked the 500m to the Bleeding Horse pub and had very good meal and of course loads og Guinness. 10 mins more and your in the City center.
I would definitely return if in Dublin again.

Room Tip: Front room is a bit noisy due to traffic but back rooms very quiet.

I stayed at this hotel whilst visiting Dublin at the end of October. Eileen and Paul could not have been more welcoming. The rooms were immaculate and beds extremely comfortable.
There was a lovely choice at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely return if I were to return to Dublin in the future
