Just come back from a trip to Dublin in Ireland and stayed in Clontarf Castle. All I can say about it was good, the staff are SO friendly, kind and helpful and reflect the Irish people I met in general. On the 1st night there was a problem with the window and they were straight up to sort it out, offered us another room if it couldn't be closed and we even had a giggle about it. It's very accessible (I have walking problems) and homely. In my view it's the best place to stay, a real-life Irish castle!. A dream fuflilled. I hope to one day go back and see them all. Miss it already. If you are wondering whether to stay or not, my advice is stay!!, you'll get the proper Irish experience!. Great place.
