We stayed there for a night and it was really nice.
The neighbourhood is great. Close to the city, you can walk down the city centre and explore it at the same time.
Breakfast is amazing. We got Irish breakfast included with the room.
Clean, confortable and cosy.

My Wife and I booked into the Uppercross House Hotel for two nights 24th & 25th June 2016. We found the Hotel with no problems and parked our car in the large car park they have. Went to the reception and gave card details then got our keys the receptionist gave me directions which were really not very clear. We went through a door into a corridor and were lost but as luck would have we met a girl who worked there and she showed us the way to the lift. Got to our room really lovely and roomy very clean.
The Hitel is very quirky lots of little corridors and stairs. It has a Bar and Restaurant called Mother Reillys lovely staff and nice food and entertainment.
On Saturday 25th we got up went for breakfast nice little restaurant very friendly staff, I said I would have the "Full Irish" when it came it consisted 1 slice of Bacon, Two Sausages which were very salty, 1Egg, one half slice of Tomato and mushrooms. On the Menu it said that if you had a guest that was not a resident the breakfast would cost €12.95 and if they wished to use the Buffet that would be a further €3.95?????. As a person who has been in the trade and a retired Chef I think that to cost the breakfast at €12.95 is a disgrace and then to rub it in with an extra €3.95 to use the Buffet is shocking. I also think that the Chef has not tasted those sausages no Chef would accept them. The last morning I asked for Poached Egg on Toast my Eggs arrived
WELL done yellow hard and on Dry Toast, I used to butter the toast and serve the eggs soft but not runny unless asked for.

Hi Robert,

I appreciate your feedback following your stay with us. I'm sorry to hear that you had difficulty getting to your room from reception. I can see that you were in room 310. The corridor from reception to this bedroom wing goes in only one direction and is signposted.

For breakfast, the pricing for non residents are as follows: €8.95 for a continental breakfast, €12.95 for a full Irish breakfast and €15.95 for both. Both the continental and the full Irish breakfast includes the usual extras of toast & condiments and a selection of teas and coffees and are fairly priced compared to our competitors (to which some are charging €20 and upward).

The standard breakfast does indeed consist of bacon, egg (fried, boiled, poached, scrambled or omelette), sausage, tomato and mushrooms. As the full Irish breakfast is not a buffet and is cooked to order, you need only ask should you wish for a second or third portion and we will be happy to accommodate you. We do also offer substitutions for guests with food intolerance's and for vegetarians there is the option of white pudding, beans and hash browns etc.

I am disappointed that the eggs were served hard without request. This is not how they should be served and I will certainly bring this to the attention of the chef as well as your thoughts on the sausages. The butter on the toast, however, is to the individual liking of the guest so we do not pre-butter the toast (perhaps they prefer low fat spread or non at all).

I am glad you enjoyed our pub Mother Reilly's and the food served in it. Again, thank you for providing us with feedback following your stay. We will most certainly take your thoughts on board and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Kind regards,

Ann Marie Brannigan
General Manager

This hotel is great. Its clean, very central and the staff are always in great form and ready to help. The parking is brilliant, it's off the road and free. I stay with family and friends any time I am in Dublin and would highly recommend it for business or pleasure. The food is very reasonable, good portions and very tasty.

Stayed Thursday and Friday night.

Nice hotel which is a lot bigger than first impressions. We have a room to the back which had a double bed and a single. It was a nice quiet room on the first night, next to the car park though so was a little noisy in the morning. Second night were woken up by a group of people arriving back at 2:00am.

Breakfast was nice and plentiful the following morning. The bar was also great with a nice menu that wasn't too expensive.

It was further than a 20 minute walk from the actual city centre, but around 30 to the Temple Bar region.
