Happy feeling to the whole place

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Mar 2016
This hotel is unpretentious but beautiful and thoughtful. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious and quiet, with old-fashioned storage for your belongings. The bath has a generous amount of hot water and simple but nice toiletries are provided. The breakfast service is prompt and the food very fresh. The dining atmosphere for breakfast is relaxed, in an airy, happy space. The location is excellent for transport and close to supermarkets, small independent shops, the post office, etc. There are lifts as well as stairs. The reception genuinely is 24/7.

This is a cosy hotel, just out of the traffic zone, very accessible and almost all cabs can get there. Staff is very friendly and supportive. Rooms are comfortable, and nice breakfast options.
Wifi is fast and rooms are clean

Room tip: Get a room on the first floor / not the ground floor

Just had my third visit (one night each time) in as many months. Location, car parking and value are hard to beat. This tie my room was adjacent to the bar and I worried about noise but there was no problem.

If you need somewhere in this part of Dublin within walking distance of the city centre this is the place.

Room tip: Ask for one to the rear

Friendly clean hotel just 30 mintes walk from Dublin City Centre and walking is a great way to experience Dublin. If your legs get too tired theres always a bus or a taxi. We have stayed here twice in the last year and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and helpful, had a good breakfast and it has its own bar as well as being just across the the road from Graces bar which has live irish music Fri/Sat (we meet a local DJ from Dublin City 103.2 FM radio in the bar and now listen to his (Peter Grogans Show) on Sat afternoon from 12 noon). Just around the corner are several restaurants and music venues. On a walk into town (just turn right out of the Hotel and right again on R11 Rathmines Road Lower) we eat at Jo'Burgers, visited the Church Of Mary Immaculate, had a pint in the Portobella bar next to the Grant and the Canel then the Bleeding Horse just a bit further on. Then we found a bar called "Again the Grain" which does Global Beers. When you hit Aungier St, call in at J J Smyths The cities oldest continous licenses since 1730 and the birth place of Thomas Moore in 1779 great place for live Jazz and R & B. Sorry Im going on about where we have been but I just want to go back the the hotel is a great place to explore Dublin Its a very good 3 star hotel, in a greta location, value you for money, great staff and spotless rooms. We will be going back.

Room tip: Ground floor rooms available with easy access to car park if you have a dog or dodge legs

This is our hotel for staying at in Dublin for our visits to watch rugby.
The owner, Dave, is a great guy and looks after us with a great personal touch.
His staff are fab, mostly young people, who have warmth and personality, from breakfast to Dinner
The rooms are really comfortable. They are not luxurious but are relaxing and a great price.
Getting to the centre of Dublin is not a problem, with good bus and taxi services nearby.
The downstairs bar is great fun and usually full of people having a great time
A joy to stay in and looking forward to going back in two years time

Stayed again recently in this hotel and still received the warm smile and welcome at check in. This hotel experience is unique in that you feel like you are in your own home you are made that welcome. Rooms as always spotless and have to say that the humour of the accommodation staff was seen on this trip when they made my room up in a personal way. Thanks ladies for this lovely touch. I also ate in the bar which had a good crowd in it all 3 nights I was there. They have now added pizza to the menu but I went and had my old favourites. If you are a lover of spicy things then thier buffalo wings are to die for as is thier skillet dish.

This is a great hotel in a great location for city centre. Keep it up and hope to see you again soon.
