Stayed in Globetrotters for a night in November. At least in the dorm I stayed in there were no lockers to keep my valuables - A safety deposit box is available but they charge for it - and only a couple of the more than several side lights worked. When I asked if they had spare bulbs, I was told they had none and would look at it in the morning. Either no one had ever bothered to look at them in the past, and if they had they've chosen not to replace the bulbs. There is free Wi-Fi but it doesn't work well in the dorms, and there is a free breakfast but its a tad on the greasy side, and if anyone is making a noise on their way back to their room, you'll hear every word. Better hostels are available.

Given the great reviews I was looking forward to my stay at the Globetrotters Tourist Hostel. The breakfast was as advertised but it was the high point of my stay. I was disappointed that there were no in-room lockers or safes to keep one's valuables. The hostel did provide safety boxes to rent for 5 Euros which was a turnoff. Why should a guest have to rent a safe or locker? The basement room was pretty crowded with 8 people yet just one small bath and that was filthy and had standing water in the shower enclosure. With a bad shower door that didn't want to close. All in all, a very average hostel. The location was good but not the accommodations.

Room Tip: I would check to see if there are rooms on the main or upper floors. Also check for bedbugs as clea...

This place is amazing! Free wifi, full breakfast included, friendly staff, beds are good, hot water! I've stayed at this place twice. It has a great atmosphere and is great for solos, friends, family, everyone! The staff are extremely helpful and offer great advice on what to do and see. It is a little far from the 'night scene' but the location is still great!

I went there for 2 nights. It is very clean, well located and the Full Irish Breakfast included every monrning is great! Only 11 euros for a 12 bed dormitory with that breakfast, it's the perfect deal. The room was really well 'designed' such as you don't feel stuck one bed over an other with 11 strangers. Security very good. Don't hesitate, it is nice clean and safe!

We came back three times during our travels in Ireland. Free wifi (and it's actually good), free bbq during the week, very affordable beds, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and a great location (near the bus station and a lot of great things to see.) I would be happy to make it my hub hostel again.

Room Tip: We actually preferred the largest mixed dorms in the basement - cheaper and never full when we were...
