If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Dublin look no further. We were staying as part of my birthday and anniversary celebrations and were not disappointed.
Nothing was too much trouble.
We were made to feel like one of the family.
The food, service and accommodation was first class.
Yes we had a few hiccups but was resolved in a professional and caring way.
The hotel is well situated just a short drive from the airport 15 mins. We were able to walk the couple of miles into the centre of Dublin very easily from the hotel.
My only tip would be - don't get ripped off by the taxis. The Skylon get a special rate and our taxi driver tried to charge 6 euros more. However we challenged him so just find out the fixed rate from reception, get them to call the cab and you are away.
Thank you to everyone at the Dublin Skylon for making this a stay to remember. We will be back definitely!

Stayed here on a very quick one night stay in July 2017 as a family of four with 2 kids, aged 11 and 13. A nice modern comfortable hotel, a short cheap taxi ride away from the city centre. Our family room was huge, very clean and modern. Loved the free crisps and water - small things count! Didn't stay for breakfast as we had to catch an early flight. Price OK. There are a couple of good restaurants, pubs and a supermarket just across the road. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and myself were in Dublin last week, and due to family circumstances, we decided to stay overnight, I phoned the skyline to see if they had a room available, which they did, the receptionist was more than helpful on our arrival, and check in was quick and professional. When we entered the room allocated to us it spelt of paint!! It was a very strong smell, and we could not have stayed in the room, so we went back down to reception and explained to the girl, and she changed us to a different room on the 5th floor. It was small but clean and well stocked with shower gel and hair shampoo etc. The room was warm, as it was a bitterly cold night, we slept really well. The breakfast the next morning was delicious, the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you.. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had originally only booked this hotel for three days as it was just going to be a mini break, however due to the beast from the east we ended up staying an extra three days after 2 cancelled flights. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating of this and we couldn’t be more grateful, as we didn’t know how long we’d need to stay for we would reserve the room each morning.
We stayed in two rooms during our stay, the first was a king size room which was perfect for 2 of us, they were clean and look exactly as the pictures show. We then booked a room expecting it to just be a standard double room but got a complimentary upgrade to a family room which is where we stayed for the rest of the trip, again it was clean and spacious which is ideal as we couldn’t get out of the hotel much because of the weather.
Serena on reception was fantastic, she gave us great advise on public transport when we first got there and was just so friendly and helpful when we needed to stay the extra days.
We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and not overly expensive for what it was.
Thank you for having us Skylon team! Will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone thinking of going to Dublin!
