We did the City Sightseeing tour when we were in Dublin in June as part of our cruise itinerary. We got on the first bus and it had the usual headset commentary. After getting off at a stop we got on another bus and this was Declan's bus. He is absolutely fantastic as a commentator and whenever we were stuck at lights he would break into song. Man could he sing! Elvis is his specialty but am sure he can do lots of others. He had us in stitches with his jokes and tales of himself as a lad in Dublin. He is an absolute credit to the company and as a result he totally made our time in Dublin unforgettable. Don't usually hear that about a bus driver, but he was that and more. Thank you Declan.

This was well worth the €19 ticket for adults, especially as kids go free. Wish the lady in the tourist office had told us about the 48 Hour ticket for just another €3. Bus drivers and tour guides were all great (though I'm not sure whether the Guinness site is 58 acres or 62 acres) and it was great for getting orientated around the city and getting a history lesson as a bonus. You can literally hop on, hop off at any stop as many times as you like, and buses run every 10-15mins which is handy if you are sightseeing. A must for first time visitors.

Goodfun to see both inside Dublin on the hop on/hop off bus on day 1, but a well-guided tour to Malahide Castle, Howth village and the coast around Dublin Bay on Da 2. Plenty of time to see a couple of museums on day 1, and a very knowledgeable guide (Patsy) on the hop on/off bus and on the tour (Ed). Felt it was good value for money and we learned a lot about Irish history and culture from them both. Excellent And audio assistance for many languages too.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was very nice to drive through the city listening to the very knowledgable driver, talking to us about the locations we were passing. The trip was a good value for money, and we would recomend this activity to all visiting Dublin.

Having used the service in other cities and found it good, we decided to try it in Dublin. This tour gives a good guide to the city, and is an excellent way to look round before deciding what to spend more time on visiting properly. Tour guides are well mannered, tickets are easily available and not bad value for two days transport around the city. Bus is clean and comfortable enough.

There are some discounts at attractions for bus tour ticket holders but nothing like there are in other cities.
