We took the hop on hop off red route and Eoin was our driver and guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, hilarious, friendly and the best tour guide I've ever comes cross! Lots of useful info and history about the city centre as well as charm and great sightseeing opportunities. Totally recommend you do this if visitng.

We highly recommend the Red City Sightseeing Dublin buses. Andre who was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable at the Dublin Visitor Center was a huge help in getting us discounts for the Jameson Distillery and in helping us figure out when to use our 2 day pass. He even gave us a weather forecast! Willie, at the St. Stephen's Green stop was terrific. He explained the buses timetable and gave us some history and fun facts about the city while we waited for the bus. What a great ambassador for Dublin! The buses are great for seeing the sights and learning about the city. Also saved us a lot of walking.

For a short stay, this hop-on, hop-off bus was great. The guides were excellent and really brought the city to life, and you get fantastic views from the open top deck. We used it for sightseeing and as a practical form of transport for the day.

O.K. - It's official: Eoin is the best tour guide of the Dublin Hop on - Hop off red sightseeing buses!!
My wife and I went on Eoin's bus on Good Friday. It was our first trip to Dublin and his
hilarious commentary, as he skilfully drove around the city, was such a joy! Not many of the attractions(and none of the pubs) were open, but he used this situation to great effect and his passengers were all very amused. ( He should have his own show as a standup comedian.) As another reviewer has said,he is very knowledgeable about Dublin, having driven buses in the city for many years. We went on two other sightseeing buses in the next 24 hours, but they could not compete with Eoin's panache!

We can highly recommend everybody to go to the Gaol. What an incredible experience awaits the tourist. Not for the faint hearted. Ben - tour guide - we salute your commitment and integrity.

But do go on the buses; it is a fantastic way to see the city; especially with Eoin as your guide.
