I had wanted to visit this ship for years as I had been fortunate enough to witness the ship being constructed in Blennerville in Kerry some years back and was eager to visit it to see it in its full glory and it did not disappoint. It exceeded my expectations as to how magnificent she actually was. The tour of the ship is very interesting and quite harrowing as the guide retells the stories of families that sailed in similar ships to start a new life in America and the horrific conditions that they were subjected to on the ship in order to better themselves overseas. It is well worth a visit and Jeanie Johnston will impress both young and old.
