Excellent location within walking distance of pubs, bars and shops. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed meals at the hotel restaurant during our stay and would recommend the early bird offer. The only minor downside was the temperature of the room our radiator was not working however there was an additional heater within the room. Once we left this on the room was perfectly warm. The hotel bar was a quiet place to relax and we enjoyed some good cocktails during our stay. If returning to Dublin we would definitely book this hotel again.

Room Tip: We stayed in a court yard room, this was really quiet.

We stayed at the Clarence for 3 nights before we took a road trip around Ireland.

We landed hours before check-in and the staff were so accommodating. They held our luggage so we could get some food & explore the area until the room was ready. We didn't explore for too long before they called to let us know it was ready early and we could check in as soon as we'd like. All of the staff were eager to give us directions or recommendations whenever we needed it.

Our room was great. Comfortable bed and chairs. The pictures online made the rooms look small, but ours was cozy without being tiny. Our window overlooked the roof bar next door & we left the windows open at all times when in the room to hear the lovely sounds of people enjoying a meal. It only got really loud on Saturday night & I was worried shutting the window wouldn't be enough to quiet the maddeningly loud music and chatter. I was wrong, however, as the windows provide a very good sound barrier.

We DID have an issue with only a couple outlets working in the whole room, but when we finally got the nerve to say something to the desk (we were nervous that our foreign ignorance had broken something) they had it all fixed before we came back from lunch. I got the sense that is happens occasionally, old power system or something, but it was a super quick fix.

The location CAN'T be beat. We were close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see in Temple Bar and other parts of Dublin. Close enough that if we needed to take a breather in the middle of the day, we could pop back into our to for a quick nap.
