Our family of 5 took a private bike tour after arriving in Dublin - we were pretty jet lagged so having some fresh air helped to keep us awake and the bike tour itself gave us some bearings of the city.
Evan (I think that was our guide's name!) was very mellow and easy. He kindly waited for us - we ended up being over 20 minutes late due to the difficulty of finding a taxi for 5.
We learned a bit about certain parts of the city, and enjoyed the leisurely pace taken as we made our way riding on the other side of the road for the first time!
Given the fog that we were in, the amount of history and overall information he gave was just right - he didn't barrage us with an overwhelming amount of history and we had some nice stretches of simply biking and taking in the scenery.
In retrospect, I think our tour was supposed to include a pub or some kind of eating/drinking establishment, but it was just as well that we didn't end until going to one - we could hardly stand upright as it was.
