Excellent tour as led by Jennifer and her driver Patrick. Visited Trim Castle, where Braveheart was filmed, the Hill of Tara, Loughcrew, Monasterboice, Drogheda, and even some other sites along the road. Great archaelogically-trained leader in Jennifer made it all that better. Loved every minute and really made my trip to Ireland expand beyond Dublin and into the gorgeous countryside, and prehistoric and medieval history. Highly recommend this tour.

We arrived early at our pick-up location and was able to depart a little earlier than the scheduled departure time.
The drive along the Irish Countryside was beautiful. The driver was very well informed and talked about points of interest along the way. The visit to the Cliffs was amazing and should not be missed. I highly recommend Extreme Ireland. They are professional and the driver was very safe.

We did two day tours with Extreme Ireland. The first was to the Giant's Causeway and the second was to the Boyne Valley region. Both tours were very well structured, with regular stops and plenty of time to look at the attractions.

For the Giant's Causeway tour, it was an early start in order to get there and back. There was 50-60 people in the tour group, which obviously slows things down a little bit. However, our guide, Bud, should be commended for keeping the schedule tight. Carrick-a-rede was a great walk and we would have liked a little more time here and at the Giant's Causeway. Both were beautiful natural wonders. We also spent time in Belfast and we enjoyed exploring the town briefly, including an old-style saloon! The tour worked best when the guide really reinforced the schedule because of the large volume of people and nationalities. I personally would have preferred a slightly smaller tour group, though this may not be possible.

Our Boyne Valley tour was a much smaller tour group, which made the experience a lot more intimate. There were definitely less tourists at the places we visited making it a very authentic experience. We visited the Hill of Tara, Loughcrew, Monasterboice, Trim Castle and finished up with a tour of the town Drogheda by a local volunteer guide. We were pleased to hear Extreme Ireland was getting involved with this kind of community initiative. Loughcrew burial grounds was a definite highlight. It was very natural, serene (and cold) and contained a 5500 year old cairn. It was an amazing place to visit with very few tourists. Our tour guide was Billy, and he was very informative and friendly.

My boyfriend and I took the Giant's Causeway day tour from Dublin. The start was early but the day was packed full of beautiful sights to see. Our tour guide Mac was very knowledgeable and entertaining!! He made our tour really fun and even serenaded the bus with some Irish folk songs! Highly recommend the tour and Mac as a guide!
