Great 2 or 3 course meal to choose from. The manager was v.accomodating and allowed us to choose from the 2 course menu on a Saturday even though it's normally confined from Monday-Friday. Food was delicious, duck well cooked, batter on haddock light and crispy, rhubarb and Apple crumble delicious, latte nicest around. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited this restaurant today - after an absence of 2 years. Back then, it was superb and highly rated. Today....well, it's truly awful.
We hade two very simple dishes, Parma ham as a starter and then fish /chips. Both were almost inedible. Clearly a new rookie chef in the kitchen who should be fired. The service was about as bad as you get. All waiters seemed to be hiding. We had to call the manager to get service.
There was a clue as to why we should have stayed away. Outside the restaurant, on the street, there was a staff member strongly encouraging all passing by to come in and have a meal. A restaurant that needs to do that... well, make up your own mind. Will never, ever visit here again.

Your first impression on entering Le Bon Crubeen is that its a pub but the menu and wine list will soon change your opinion. There are no fancy tablecloths but the food is excellent. It may seem a bit pricey at first glance but once the food is delivered you realise why - its really good. The staff are pleasant and service is efficient

I had researched gluten free restaurants in Dublin ands had reserved somewhere else but when we seen how close this restaurant is to where we were staying and out came recommended by the apartment owner, we decided to try it. They have a good early bird menu reasonably priced and cater really well for coeliacs. Between the 4 of us we tried the soup, goats cheese and beetroot salad, duck, steak and trout. Everyone loved their food. Service was fast and friendly. The house white was a lovely wine. Thoroughly enjoyed it and glad we went

Visited here because I heard positive things and had a voucher.
I started with oysters and clams, it was really good. My partner had a cod starter which she also enjoyed.
I had the artichoke tortellini for my main course, it was nice, maybe a bit too much of the creamy sauce for my liking but that’s just a personal preference. My partner had the confit duck and she enjoyed it all except for the roast potatoes, she said they were soft and watery.
The first two courses arrived very quickly, a bit too quickly for us, a bit of a break between courses would have been preferred, but I understand that some people are in a hurry and prefer the food quickly. We did ask for a break before desert and the waitress obliged. We also had a nice bottle of rioja with the food.
Overall we enjoyed the food and drink and the service was very good.
