We stopped by this cafe after a long walk for a spot of lunch and ordered the soup of the day with cheese and ham toastie. Food was absolutely delicious and plentiful.
The cafe is somewhat small and might struggle to accommodate larger groups.

This is a fine and functional little café across the road from Matt The Threshers. Good service from the staff but it lacks any atmosphere. I hate the fact that they microwave the eggs for breakfast so tend to stick to a coffee and toast when I visit.

There's a lack of places in Dublin that serve a mix of good food, nice and quiet tables to eat and helpful and smiling staff. But this is one of that places! I came here to have lunch often and I really enjoy it.

I do feel that the Rhubarb Cafe is a good place to grab a quick breakfast. It is good value and the menu offers a fair choice of hot dishes or scones etc.etc. Their coffee is particularly good. Not overly sophisticated, but at 9.00 in the morning, it suits. And they do provide newspapers.
