I have been here atleast 30 times. It's bloody great.

It's exactly what it says on the tin. Unbelievable Guinness and a completely different venue than you would expect a little dark and just a few benches to sit on.

In summer time there is lovely grass park out front to chill in and in Winter the venue is great.

I have never had a bad experience with bar staff, good banter.

Tapas are good too, not mind blowing but good value and decent.

One warning though is they do not have a credit card machine and tend to close a little early so come with a pocket full of cash and come early!

Full of character. Down-to-earth local with a lovely pint of Guinness. Room to stand outside in the summer.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. The food, the ambiance, the Guinness :) it's just spot on. I go here regularly with work colleagues and also international visitors and all rate it so highly. The staff are so friendly and attentive and the value for money with the food is just unreal. Go there. You won't regret it!

Tucked away at the back of Prospect Avenue its easy to miss the turn off coming out from the city so do concentrate or you will be scooting around the block like I had to do !. Last time I was here was by shanks mare in about 1978 and it has not changed one bit since that visit. At that time I made a mental note to visit after seeing "Quackser Fortune has a cousin in the Bronx", which had a scene shot in the bar. Anyway this visit was a prelude to the tour next door at the Glasnevin Cemetery, conveniently located just a step away through the gates . We started with an entree of Guiness which was really rich with a nice creamy head. An excellent starter and a great pint all in one ! Next was the coddle which was one of the best I have ever eaten, and prepared specially for moi ( and about 30 other bods) by Ciaran Kavanagh himself. This pub is a real treat and has been in the Kavanagh family since forever at least. You can feel the history and is well worth a visit. Seek it out !

No bad words for this hidden treasure behind the graveyard.
We enjoyed some cold beers And lunch at this lovely managed pub.

All food was amazing, make sure you try the homemade pies, which are delicious.

To make things even better, you can have lunch with a beer and share a cake for only €10 per person!
