Came here on our first night in Dublin and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff are very professional and attentive and the food is lovely. I highly recommend it, especially if you are staying at The Ashling Hotel a few doors down

Visited this Bar on two occasions recently, very warm and welcoming. Had something to eat on one of my visits and was very pleased with the excellent food and service. Would definitely visit again as its very near to Hueston Station and while waiting for a train one could have a drink and some food knowing you are only less that 5 minutes away.

We tried to book in advance and after about a week of waiting we received a response saying they don't take bookings for less than 10 which was annoying. When we arrived there was a big function taking up half the restaurant so we sat in the bar and had food there. Not a major problem but would have been more comfy to sit somewhere else.

Food was really good though and service was great. Just a traditional pub really.

We've been to Nancy hands many times for family events in the past. We decided to go on Saturday the 17th of Feb for a bit of food for two birthdays, we didn't have a booking but tables where not reserved when we sat down on them and two members of staff one male and one female came to see if we would like food and never said anything about the tables being reserved. The lovely small red haired waitress took all our food orders (20 people inc. Adults and children) and was more than pleasant taking orders.

Then a taller waitress came down while we waited for food and told us she's need to table back in 45mins to which we said we should of been told this before we ordered food and she insisted with abit of an attitude we leave in 45mins to which we said no we've ordered food. She went off and asked the manager to move the reserved area which was fine.

Food came out most of which was fine some a little cold but edible but I got onion rings which were drowned in oil, over cooked and grease in the bottom of the bowl(picture attached). I called the taller waitress over and told her to take them back and off the bill and as she walked away said "oh my god" which was heard by one of the members of the family, very unprofessional!!! Then as another member of the family was at the bar heard the same waitress giving out about our party beside the bar and was being told to "calm down" by bar staff!! Again very unprofessional. Also giving one of the members of our table dirty looks as we where talking about the food being below standard.

The plates where partially cleared about 30mins after we finished the rest left on a table for over an hour, we were never asked if everything was ok or asked if we'd like a dessert which we would had having kids in the group and celebrating 2 birthdays! So the bar lost out money there. We also had to get up to get our own bill. We would of understood that if the place was busy but it wasn't and that reflects the standard of service of the staff.

We are living local and like I said have had many parties here and we'll never go and book parties here and tell any people in the area the place has gone downhill. The tall dark haired waitress' attitude is terrible and should not be working in the service industry as front of house!!

All in all wouldn't return or recommend as the service and food is below standard and there are better places on parkgate street like Ryan's FXB right next door as the food and service are impeccable!

Toot the family here after a tour of the Guinness Storehouse. A fabulous meal had and all to celebrate my old man’s 80th. The burgers were fabulous. Thanks again we shall return again.
