Two fabulous days in and around Galway, the Cliffs of Moher and an afternoon in the pubs of Doolin. Despite the fact that some of their tours are quite challenging athletically, we are a wee bit older and Marcus let us set a pace that worked for us. I love Trad Irish music and he took us to the best spots and of course is a great singer and storyteller in his own right.

Even if I had done nothing else in Ireland, this tour would have made my visit worth it!
My group spent two weeks in Ireland, and we took a tour with Rural Adventure Tours on our last day.

Our tour guide (Marcus) took us kayaking to a castle, hiking to a druidic religious site, to a cafe with stellar food, and to a fun, local bar where he played guitar and we sang our hearts out.
Marcus was phenomenal!
He was friendly, funny, and due to his thorough knowledge of history, we couldn't think up a question that he couldn't answer! He also has some really awesome stories to share! He told us about Irish mythology, shared stories of his travels, and even taught us about Irish history (which they don't teach in American schools.)
He's such a smart guy-- super fun to be around!

Marcus took awesome pictures of our whole adventure, so we never even had to think about our phones! But honestly, pictures almost feel unnecessary because the day was unforgettable.

This tour would be good for all ages! The physical activities were challenging enough, but not so challenging that you couldn't bring your kids.

Our group also had a lot of dietary restrictions, but Marcus made sure everyone was accommodated.

If you have any doubts about taking this tour, just call the tour service. Everyone is so friendly and they will help you with whatever you need.

Our day trip to hike near Carlingford was fun, beautiful scenery, interesting, educational, and more! Marcus was friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and easy to be with. We really appreciated being picked up in Dublin at our Airbnb. We enjoyed all aspects of the day, from the drive north, to the hike with amazing views of the hills and mountains and Irish Sea and villages and sheep, to seeing an abandoned farmstead from the 1800's, to our delicious lunch at a garden center cafe, to a visit to an old monastery, ending with singing and music at a pub in a small town. It was a perfect way to get out into the country of Ireland while also learning about the history of the area. We have already recommended him to the owner of our Airbnb in Dublin! If we make it to Ireland again, we will definitely be taking one of his trips again!

My family and I chose the day tour option of kayaking out to the Cloughoughter Castle. This was such a beautiful and exciting new experience, we couldn't have hoped for more! It was very doable for all ages and all skill levels, so it adds just the right amount of adventure for your family's needs.

The Rural Adventures tour company went above and beyond to make sure that my family had everything we needed: quick email responses, picked us up right at our hotel, snacks and comfortable travel, and nearly 100 complementary pictures taken during the day for us to keep. Marcus and his brother Ray are definitely the perfect people for the job- super nice and accommodating as well as fun, talented, and knowledgable. After our tour, Julie so kindly emailed us suggestions for other ways to explore Ireland during our time on vacation. All-around, it was perfectly organized and purely stress-free fun! Highly recommend, and we will be returning to Ireland to try another tour from them! (:

I have to say this tour was well worth it! Our tour guide was Marcos and he was great! We got offered to get picked up from our location which was really convenient. As soon as he pulled up his energy was so joyful we felt nothing but good vibes! We started of kayaking to a little island with a small castle. The views on the way there were unbelievable. I felt like I was in a movie. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The little island is a must see for sure. We then kayaked back and went on a little short hike we we got to see some really cool stuff... and the views! 🙌 We stopped at a place to eat and everyone loved the food. The restaurant was so cute with a little house to the left where you can see how they used to live. Last we stopped at a local pub where we had a great time. Marcos sang and played the guitar :). We also met a few other locals who were really welcoming. This tour is a must!!! Oh and one more thing, I was doubting whether or not my 8 year old son was going to enjoy it and he loved it!!!
