The service was friendly, attentive but not overbearing. The food was beautifully presented, and tasted as good as it looked. For starters, I had the brown crab and my date had the goats cheese. They tasted great, and service was not rushed, it was a relaxed enjoyable dining experience.
For the main course, I had the venison and my date had the steak. Both were cooked medium rare (as we wished) and were really delicious. The Steak was cooked to perfection, melt in the mouth. Just really, great. We had the wine by the glass, as it was mid week. I had the Pinot Blanc and I wasn't disappointed.
The atmosphere was intimate with a mixture of group diners, a few couples and the odd business diners, and the tables were placed apart with plenty of space apart to enjoy your dining experience.
The food and wine were the best, with the fact that these guys know what they are doing, and they do it really well. I'll be recommending this place to friends for that special dining experience. I can't think of anything critical to say about Dax.
