This is a small restaurant with a friendly service not too expensive. Do not expect special dishes, but for a steak it is ok.

Second time here and not disappointed. The food is exceptional and surroundings wonderful. Popular restaurant serving good European food. Wine list is good and service excellent. Go there, you'll love it.

booked dinner for 2 at short notice when in Dublin for 6 Nations. Made very welcome, had lovely starters (esp scallops) super mains (pork and tournedos rossini) both with good veg. and light sauces.
Regretfully couldnt make pud - too full!
Excellent wine list - including good range for glass only.
Left there as very happy bunnies!

Following a great afternoon watching the racing from Cheltenham in the Horseshoe Bar at the Shelbourne we went 100 yards down the road to the convivial Hugo's.
Great crab salad and some wonderful steaks ...very large in both cases....interest and esoteric wine list. Great service and really cosy atmosphere. Great value very honest good cooking.
Worth a trip!

Busy lunchtime on a Friday, very old fashioned décor and strange feel to the place but food was very good. Both had fish and chips which was very good. Will come back in evening to try again.
