Arrived at Donegal Manor and were promptly checked in and given the Red Hugh room. Outstanding! Huge king bed, plenty of room, a mini fridge, a nice comfortable sofa, and a nice sized bathroom. Very clean, neat, and most of all, comfortable room. Had a view of the countryside and grazing sheep.
The included breakfast was very good. I had the banana pancakes with maple syrup and they hit the spot. Good coffee, nice selection on the continental self-serve. The fruit was very good on top of the Irish yogurt.
Spent a moment in front of the turf fire and dreamed....
I believe we were the only onesin the mnor which just added to our feeling like the lord and lady. This is a wonderful place to stay and one cannot go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: If possible, ask for a room on the south side so you can experience the view of the countryside.

lovely spot with welcoming hosts! huge suite with mini fridge, wifi and view of the farmland and anilmals...quiet on the back of the hotel.
delicious breakfast, with complimentary hot drinks and homemade cakes laid out during the day. gorgeous wood and peat fire that even if not lit Michael and his son were more than willing to put on for us. anything they could do to help they were more than willing! be sure to get the 'wild atlantic way' map from them as it is a gem if driving on that route...it may be at the tourist bureaus but we didn't see it.
8E one way taxi fare to the town square and a meal at the olde castle pub (both nights) was well worth it.
the manor is not a manor and is not right in town but we enjoyed our stay!

Room Tip: room in back overlooking the farmalnd and livestock

What a fabulous place to stay. The owners are so friendly along with all the staff. It was a pleasure staying there. The breakfast is fantastic and the room was beautiful. It was a nice big room with lots of room. The room was spotless and everything was just perfect. Thank you.

We arrived in Donegal quite late and the information centre, (which was very good), rang around and booked us into this Guest House telling us all they have left was a small room. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner as old friends and made extremely welcome. The "small" room was fine, well kept and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. We can recommend the tea and cake, which was free, taken in front of the roaring real log fire.

Its promoted as the Donegal Manor and cookery school but it only does breakfast!
The building is lovely externally but its only a few years old and not 100% finished.
I arrived starving on a Sunday night having driven all day and then had to go out to eat , I was not impressed.
My room was on the 3rd floor and was claustrophobic , small room and small window.
The en suite was very small and the shower area in the bath so narrow the curtain wrapped around me .
The owner was a very pleasant guy but that's not any compensation really,
It has Tripadvisor awards but its difficult to relate that its the same place
