Visited Harveys Point for the third time over the Irish August Bank Holiday weekend, with my parents and dog, and all of us were spoilt rotten and had the most incredible time.
Our rooms were huge, with plenty of welcoming treats awaiting us. The beds were so comfortable I got the best sleep in about 3 years, thankfully woken by in-room percolated coffee at no extra charge.
All the facilities in Harveys Point are superb, but the new outdoor terrace with all-day casual dining (until 9pm) is a brilliant addition. And literally just opened is the cosy, clubby Memories residents bar, complete with turf fire, deep, clubby, leather chairs and a piano... I look forward to returning for some special winters evenings there!
Of course, the scenic view, swans, ducks, boathouse and perfect landscaping remains, as does the warmest of welcomes from proprietor Deirdre McGlone and GM Noel Cunningham.
Harvey's Point offers the very best of unpretentious hospitality, in an hotel that caters for everyone, and our every whim. We really can't wait for our next visit.More
