Room was not clean and worth for the price. Carpet was dirty, very old and stained. The roof of bathroom was damped. Mattress was joke, I can’t sleep whole night.
The worst them all there was no hot water in bathroom sink.
The management of hotel did nothing to compensate us. And keep saying sorry we fully booked we can’t change the room. Didn’t offer any discount or complementary service to compensate.
Don’t go if you looking to get some nice comfy break.

눇I didn’t like anything about that hotel

We booked here for the bank holiday break. We stayed here last year and thought it was lovely, so we returned this year. I was in for a shock as to how run down it has got since our last visit. The room was freezing, there was no hot water, the decorative cushions where stained. The milk in the room was off. The breakfast was that bad we left it and just had tea and toast. It’s quite overpriced too. We won’t be back here.

Booked x2 night stay as a b.day gift to chill and relax. We left the hotel even more tired than what we where going in.

Hotel is overpriced, outdated.

Went into the room, decorative pillow was dirty. My partner went into toilet middle of night and there was "silverfish" insects running around the floor.

Mentioned this to staff, they apologised and the convo finished with us believing we would be "looked after" when we came back all they had done was replace pillow cover, Hoover & mop the floors.

The walls are soo thin you could hear your neighbour chew! When a door was closing it squeeked for ages and when they shut the door the whole room rattled. (Zero sleep).

We requested an iron and iron-board. Iron board was broke, kept collapsing, the iron had pieces broken off it & the stainless steel of the iron actually had wear and tear stains.

The tv had about 5 watchable channels.

We received x2 comp drinks(for our insect problem). We sat down for dinner, menu was limited and overpriced. We went to the hotel few doors down for food & where greeted with comp appetizers for just being there.

The whole experience was a shambles. It's amazing how this hotel is still making a living!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a lovely older building, with personality, very centrally located. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed chatting with Marie, who gave us several helpful suggestions for places to go for meals and sightseeing. Although the hotel is right in the middle of town, we had a room in the back overlooking the bay, which was very quiet. We loved our stay here- would definitely return!

Our coach emptied out 50 weary travelers and the staff efficiently passed out giant keys and delivered our many bags to our rooms. We stayed 2 nights, enjoying a dinner and 2 Irish breakfasts. All meals were well done, but Clio didn't care for the dessert. Donegal is a lovely walking town with plenty of shops, pubs, waterfront, and the ancient Donegal Castle. Loved the location, cozy clean room and welcoming staff.
