Description: The legendary Quay Co-op is an integral part of the Cork experience, for 40 years now. Delicious, vibrant vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food in the stylishly relaxed upstairs restaurant, is complimented by our ground floor café with healthy, fresh produce for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Choose whichever option suits your occasion! All set in Cork’s much loved organic wholefood and health shop, a real shopping emporium. The Co-op has also been at the forefront of social change and this is also reflected in the new community bookshop, perfect for browsing, meeting and enjoying all the Co-op has to offer!

Very nice place for lunch with wooden tables and chairs over several storeys looking over the river. The upper storeys have closed fires - the spaces are clean and airy and cosy at the same time. Food is fresh and appetising, including desserts such as chocolate and avocado cake. Service is friendly and informally efficient. We will return.

This genial, well-run place is a mecca for vegan and vegetarian comfort food - delicious lentil patties, vegetarian burgers, lasagne, enchiladas, salads substantial and green, good wine by the glass or carafe, and all with views right out over an atmospheric stretch of the River Lee. The desserts are a hit, notably the cheesecake with spiced oat crust, and the ambience is soothing: candles, murmuring fellow diners. Given the difficulty of finding decent vegan and vegetarian food in Irish restaurants generally, this outpost is a mainstay in Cork. Long may it thrive.

The downstairs cafe in the grocery store was a great place for a quick coffee and snack. It's a nice place to meet friends and some people settle in a newspaper. Super friendly staff, fast and efficient. Very nice coffee and cakes. Food is basically healthy fast food. Wider selection of food upstairs. The Wifi appeared to have some bandwidth issues

Visited the co-op for business then had a quick coffee and cake in the downstairs café. Very tasty and good service from the friendly staff. Also took a take-away lunch for later which was excellent.
