You couldn't wish for a better B&B in Cork: great hospitality, handy central location, lovely breakfast (and scones!). Tony and Avril are the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome.
Would love to stay here again!

We hadn't been to Cork before and to be fair we knew absolutely nothing about it before we arrived - majorly unprepared! This changed within a couple of minutes of meeting Tony and Avril. Over freshly made scones (amazing) and tea Tony sat us down when we arrived and gave us a rundown of his suggestions of things to do in area, this proved to be invaluable and his suggestions meant we experienced Ireland at it's best. Advice wasn't their only strong point...breakfast was fantastic - we didn't really have to eat again until supper, the rooms were comfy and clean and nothing was too much for our hosts. We would definitely visit again.

Along with seven other friends,I have spent a memorable St Patrick's weekend at the Fernroyd House B&B enjoying the festivities in Cork City, our hosts Avril and Tony were fantastic people, from the moment we arrived the hospitality was first class. If you like the traditional Irish breakfast then you won't get a better one in Cork City ! the rooms we had were excellent and enjoyed by all the group. Tony is the best tourist guide
you could wish for, his knowledge of the area is amazing, get him to recommend some traditional pubs in and around Cork City, having told us about approx 20 we only made it to a couple, try The Abbey Tavern you will be welcomed by Derick and Carol, they also are great hosts Thanks Avril and Tony from all the lads, we will be back.

Room Tip: If you have larger group of people ( 6 to 8) try the other building they have, it contains a very nice lounge.

All B&B's have beds, dining rooms, fireplaces etc. What really separates the men from the boys are the people that run it. Tony and Avril are simply the best. They're fantastically accommodating, capable, and just plain interested in making your stay as pleasant as possible.

It makes a big difference. I recommend them highly.
