Cleanliness: clean

Sleep Quality: OK, mattresses are at the end of their life span, as well the pillows.

Amenities: small bathroom, but functional although the head shower is lose and needs fixing (this is category 4 (4 stars hotel) … this bathroom belong to 1 star hotel).
Breakfast is good, except the scrambled eggs, tasted like dried/boxed eggs. But the sausages are fantastic.

Staff/Service: OK

Property/Facilities: very old hotel/building centrally located

Location: the positive is the location in the city, walking distance to surroundings, The negative is the parking, off site in a private parking to drive the car yourself and walk back to the hotel. No valet and no help parking the car if needed. The parking garage is small and good only for smaller cars.

Value: too expensive for the category

Overall rating! 3 out of 5

Recommendations: OK if no better place to stay at for similar category. For me, I won’t stay there again.

Dear TOURtheWORLDMexPal

Thank you for taking the time to review the Imperial Hotel.

We are indeed fortunate that our historic hotel is located right in the heart of Cork City with all its attractions right on the doorstep. As our hotel is 200 years old, parking was not part of the design but we have secured spaces for our guests in a private car park a 5 minute walk away.

Thank you for your feedback on the bathrooms. We are working on these as part of our ongoing refurbishment and sustainability programmes.

We hope to welcome you back one day.
Best Regards
Bastien

Exceptionally wonderful experience. Breakfast was ncluded in the room rate. We were expecting the usual buffet - to our suprise it was sit down a-la-carte with a choice of breakfast combinations.
Also we requested for a hot water bag (for a sore shoulder) and the hotel staff managed to get one to us very fast,

Thus is an absolutely beautiful hotel steeped in history with fabulous decor from the lobby to the restaurant & bars & stunning little coffee bar just inside the door.

I have stayed several times & have never been dissapointed...I would absolutely give this hotel 5 stars & the staff are so nice & helpful also & genuinely delighted to welcome their guests.

The location is also amazing ...right in the centre of everything without the noise
