The castle and gardens tour are self guided and easy to follow. We chose not to kiss the Blarney stone as the wait to do this was over an hour and our total time there was 90 minutes on our tour. The gardens were astounding and were worth the price of admission. If the line is short, give it a kiss but otherwise it is like a Disney attraction....a one hour wait for a brief ride.

You just have to visit the place when in Cork. We were not going to kiss the stone as it looked a bit awkward - we are not as flexible as we once were. However, on reaching the top we could not resist. Experienced hands were there to assist. Girls - don't wear a short skirt so that your modesty remains intact! Views from the top of the surrounding countryside were great, so take your camera. I have never been more eloquent since placing an osculation upon the said Stone!

Easy to get to and the parking was great.
You get a parking ticket when you enter and pay before leaving and the barrier lifts.
The price is reasonable for the condition of the grounds, they are immaculate.
A great café and shop, lovely gift shops, expected price for a souvenir.

The walk up to the castle was very nice, with the added extra of a piper, this added to the history. You can tip if you wish. Having a husband who plays the pipes he was happy to play a few of his favourites.
The walk was wheelchair accessible. My Dad finds walking far difficult so we only got to the castle but this was perfect. There was a lot more to see but we were happy with our lot.

This was a beautiful setting. We loved the castle and the gardens. It was a great way to spend part of our day. You have to kiss the stone if you can deal with the heights. Well worth spending some time here. I don't think you can see and enjoy everything in just a day. We did our best staying only part of a day. So much to see!

Beautiful gardens, flowers, bushes and trees are amazing. Castle is old and bit scary to climb, made it to the top and worth the effort. Blarney house is not included in the admission, we did not visit. Overall worth the visit.
