We didn't plan to visit here but decided to stop when we saw the sign while driving and we are so glad we did! Since it was the beginning of April it was cool and windy but a beautiful day. We spent time walking the grounds and thought the poison garden was fascinating. Then we explored the keep, the signs really explain everything and it was fun trying to imagine what it looked like so long ago. When we got to the top we didn't have to wait at all to kiss the Blarney Stone (it was sanitized after each kiss) and we especially enjoyed talking to the workers who took some extra pictures for us since there was no one behind us. I wish we'd had more time to walk around the grounds but after about 3 hours we had to leave to get to our next spot. It was an unexpected highlight for us mostly due to the lack of tourists since it was "off-season".
