We arrived late and there had been a mix up with our booking agent. No reservation in the area. Not only did Ella take us in but she didn't take advantage of our predicament and increase the rates. To the contrary she gave us a discount. What a delightful woman. We had tea but needed dinner so she gave us directions to Ennis as well as where to park. She was getting business cards made so didn't have one to give us but still wrote down her address and phone number in case we got lost. The following day after a wonderful breakfast we needed to wash some clothes. To avoid us getting lost Michael had us follow him to town where he pointed out the laundry and a mall where we could find an ATM. The laundry experience was a surprise. In the USA we have laundromats where we do our own laundry. Not in Ireland. So, we dropped our clothes off with a sweet lady and had cappuccinos next door while she did our laundry. It was expensive...16 euros, but a nice treat. The Ardan house is a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher, our next stop, and there is a wonderful rock shop along the way.

Room Tip: sorry, too tired to remember. the hosts will take good care of you though.

Lovely people would love if every one was like that, it makes it worth while when people are easy to manage.

We made a last minute decision to stay in Ennis to get us closer to Shannon for a flight out the next day and I am so glad we did! Ella had a room ready for us when we got there (with almost no notice). The rooms were well-appointed, immaculate, and extremely reasonable. She had great advice as to where to eat and which pubs (with music) to visit. She made our last night in Ireland one of the best, Thank you, Ella!

Room Tip: They all seemed to be very good.

This property is quite a ways out of Ennis. If you have a car and are willing to drive in and out of town to explore Ennis, you will be OK. We did not have a car and the walk into town was very long. The bed was OK and the breakfast also quite adequate.

Our family of five stayed here for one night on our way to Kerry. We wish we could have stayed longer. Ella and Michael are very kind, welcoming hosts, happily offering advice and suggestions on sightseeing and eating. The rooms are immaculate and quiet, offering a good night's rest. The full Irish breakfast is a perfect start to the day. I would love to come back here again (as long as I am able to climb stairs to the second floor).
