The hotel itself is fine. Nothing overly impressive with maybe the exception of the staff. Staff was very friendly and helpful. For that reason alone I can look past a few refurbishment the hotel needs. Overall the hotel was very clean, just a few updates and things would be pretty good. The bar and restaurant is very convenient. The location of this hotel is excellent right in the middle of everything. A 10 min walk in either direction to all the pubs, restaurants, and stores. I would have no problem whatsoever of staying here again.

Stayed here for two nights B & B . The location is great, near the beach and shops but that is as food as it gets. The room was quite clean but tired looking. There was only one double plug point in the room and one of them wasn't working so if you were needing anything charged, forget it. The door to the room had to be lifted before it would open or close, reported this on the first day but was not fixed. The breakfast the first morning was fine but the second morning the full breakfast was a little cold. The said they had parking but there are very limited spaces for the size of hotel and finding a space can bee difficult , plus there is a charge for parking. Would I stay here again, probably not.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel.

A fairly late booking for a twin room in this Ayr hotel. At £150 this fifth floor room was pretty small and the bathroom was no better than average. It became obvious when a guest opened up his room opposite us that the rooms to request here are the west facing rooms higher up which seem to have more space as well as the view ( across the Firth of Clyde to Arran and Alisa Craig). The view to the rear is of a multi-storey car park (although to be fair the views over that building are fine). There is also a pub to the rear of the building which was quite noisy on the Friday night we were at the hotel.
We didn’t get a chance to use the leisure facilities so can’t comment on that.
Breakfast was extra but good.
Beds quite firm.
Overall not great but not bad either. Just quite expensive for what it is. Could do with a bit of TLC and is scraping a 3 out 5 score-just. If there was a 2.5 score .......

Room Tip: Best view facing west on upper floors
