This was our third stay at the Clan Macduff. They have added a new reception area since last year that offers a fab place to relax and take in the view. The staff, food and service is always excellent, fantastic value with knowledgable local staff who always go above and beyond to help ( securing our bikes, helping with all our baby needs and giving us bags to keep the hire car clean). We were lucky to have glorious weather and a Lochside view from our room. We ate in the hotel both nights as the food was so good the first evening, I highly recommend the salmon and the haggis starter. After a long walk up Ben Nevis we had a refreshing dip in the Loch which is directly accessible from the hotel. There is a well stocked bar with lots of great single malts and some excellent local craft beer. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the staff had already set up a cot for our baby, providing us with a fan to keep her cool without even asking.

Looking forward to next year's stay, fingers crossed we have similar weather to appreciate th amazing views. Thanks again for having us.

Room Tip: Lochside views are magnificent

This family owned hotel was a real delight to stay at. We stayed only one night, as we were passing through. The view is out of this world. You basically have Loch Linneh outside your balcony at room number 5. And on the other side the mountains majestically rising towards the sky. It cannot be described. You have to see it. And then a wonderful breakfast with windows towards this scenery as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful in any way possible. Coming there with a car is easy and parking is free, with exception for seeing the sign to the hotel. It could ve slightly bigger as there are several hotels, hostels and B&B along the road. It can be easy to miss. And the narrow roads with traffic behind you, might let you go back and forth a couple of times if you aren't alert.

There is no air condition in the rooms, which might be a problem during the hot summer. We found that a fan and an open balcony door worked great at the end of May. The temperature drops drastically during the evening to a very nice sleeping temperature. (Approx 11-14 degrees celsius).

I found that the long pillows wasa bit inconveniant in comparison to a normal pillow size. Besides that, the room and it's facilities was nice.

I can really recommend this hotel, and the chance of us staying there again, if we come by this area again, is very likely.

This is a lovely hotel with breath taking views, helpful staff and clean rooms.
Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious.
However, when paying a premium price it is hard to see what additionality was provided. Other than the breakfast being good I would have had a better night's sleep in a premier inn.
The rooms are not sound proofed and this meant we heard conversations from neighbors and those moving around in the room above caused the light fittings to shake.
As I said, this is a lovely hotel but , as with many in Scotland, just that bit overpriced.

Had a very nice stay at this hotel. Staff were great in particular, Caroline and Elaine. They couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was plentiful and the evening dinner was lovely. Had a problem sleeping due to the noise of people walking and chatting on the floor above. The rooms don't appear to be very sound prove.
