Booked a short break away as a lone traveller. Due to Covid I did expect restrictions. I called hotel a few days before and asked what these were. I was told the bar would be closed. I asked if there would be a lounge serving coffee and soft drinks during the day, to which I was informed yes, so decided to go ahead with the bookings.
On arrival, hotel was well organised and clean, had to book for dinner.
Found out that there was nowhere to get coffee, only in your room, This is not what I I was told in the telephone conversation. The bar did open at 4pm but tables were booked and reserved for dinner, so you could not sit in the bar.
I found it a bit off putting that if you wanted somewhere to relax with a coffee during the day you were resigned to sitting in your room.
I decided to cut my visit short, to which all they were interested in telling me is that I could not have a refund, which I did not expect.
I wrote to management explaining my slight disappointment in their organisation but as yet have not even received a reply. Having said all that the hotel was good and meals were excellent, but afraid will give it a miss next tripMore
