Other reviews have praised this Hotel, the food, entertainment and the quality. we wholeheartedly agree. Unfortunately we stayed at the Hotel during a cold snap with snow.
We were very surprised to find that the heating was only active for very limited and short periods. We asked at reception and were told the heating is remotely operated by head office and goes off and on at specific times of the day.
On a couple of occasions when our trip our was early and breakfast was first serving we showered and dressed with no heating at all. We were told it would come on later.
This was awful and in fairness the staff checked it out and gave us a portable heater. We learned later in the week that they had run out of these heaters due to the number of complaints.
It seems a great shame that having a excellent organisation and success rating the whole situation is spoilt because of these unworkable controls.
Recommendation would be to ask about the heating when checking in as for an elderly person with some arthritis it would be very uncomfortable as it was cold at night.More
