Stayed here for one night, we were in room 5, which appeared to be an attic room, this made getting in/out of bed interesting in the middle of the night. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Situated up a small street with limited parking. This is a boutique hotel with a restaurant serving good, modern food. The staff are well trained and the food is very good. There is also a small art gallery to investigate before or after your meal.

I recently stayed here with 2 friends at the end of walking the West Highland Way and knew immediately on arrival that we had made a great choice. Situated opposite the water and just on the perimeter of the town centre, this is quite a simple, beautiful old building with an air of comfort and individual style many hotels are too afraid to embrace. Each public room and the bedrooms we had were painted in strong warm colours and scattered with furniture and accessories that feel comfortable and welcome, rather than corporate and boring.
Service is low key and excellent. Beds are comfortable and rooms spacious. The restaurant, we all thought, was outstanding.
This is definately a hotel I hope to visit again.

Stayed here with a group of friends and family. David, Charlotte and all the staff could not do enough to help us. The service and helpfulness of all were outstanding. The food was delicious. I have eaten in many top restaurants in London and indeed around the world and the Lime Tree is right up there with the very best. And very reasonably priced. Rooms were spotless and well appointed. Overall a great place.

Room tip: Front rooms with a Loch View are lovely

Another mixed experience. Dinner was fantastic - creative, imaginative and delicious. Breakfast was elevated to another level by the use of really good quality ingredients. Why then serve mass produced pap bread as toast?
The room was very dark with shocking lighting, especially in the bathroom. The bathroom also needs somewhere to put your toilet bag. The sink needed replaced and the front of the shower tray was pretty grotty.
The most annoying thing was that one of the 'posts' of the tacky 4 poster bed made it impossible to see the television from the bed. When we reported this in the morning, we were clearly not the first to do so. Fix it!
It's hard to believe that the lack of attention to detail in the room was in the same building as the wonderful food.
I'd eat there again in a second, but probably sleep elsewhere.
